iPhone 6 plus camera issue

Hi guys, I just got my iPhone 6 plus and I found out that there seems to be an issue with the camera when taking shots at night... If the camera is pointed in the General direction where there are sources of light (street lamps, fluorescent lamps etc)... There seems to be halo or lens flare artefacts in the darker areas of the photo...I have uploaded some pictures below for reference...Have checked very thoroughly for dust/objects on the lens but there were clearly none... Somehow I think its an issue with the lens itself, hardware issue...

Disgracefully for Apple, I am facing the same issue with my brand new iPhone 8 Plus. They have opened a case for me in the Apple Support App and they seemed quite surprised of this issue, although as I can see in these threads it has been known since iPhone 6 Plus. They say that a team of engineers is going to study the problem, but I bet they will do nothing as usual in the last few years.

I only bought this phone for the camera and I find this annoying issue that ruins many of my night shots. Shameful.

If I don't receive soon a response saying that they are going to fix the issue with a software update, that's it. I will claim my money back and from now on I won't buy any more Apple devices.

Definitely not a flare... These are reflections of the light sources in dark environments.. And it happens every single time when i take night shots with a light source. Don't see that in my iPhone 5S or my friend's iPhone 6 plus. I brought it down to the Apple service center but they couldn't do an exchange for me except help me lodge a report to Apple. I really hope Apple looks into this although I am pretty sure this is a hardware issue

Got my iPhone 6 today. After taking my first pictures in a low light situation I was shocked by some strange flares.

You can always see a darker reflection of the original light source somewhere in the picture. These are not

the flares you want in a picture in a cinematic way. It's more like something you really wanna get rid of in photoshop.

See some images attached... Hope there'll be a statement about it.

Did the comparison. I used the flash on my older phone for a "strong point of light", and the flare looks almost EXACTLY the same. Apparently, while the ornaments just weren't bright enough to cause the problem but carnival lights are (maybe they swapped out incandescents for LED's)?

ANyway, I'll do a few more side by sides, but I'm thinking the 6 camera Is not any worse in this regard than the 5s camera.
