iPhone 6 screen yellow tint?

Just got my iPhone 6 and the screen seems to be dull with a yellowish tint. It's especially noticeable when the screen is next to my iPhone 5. Anyone else having this issue? I had it on my 4S and Apple swapped my phone twice. I'm hoping not to do that with my iPhone 6 and wondering if anyone knew what the deal was.

Glad I'm not the only one with the issue. I stopped by the Apple store, besides they didn't have any time till Monday for me, and told me they see no difference in color. I checked out the other phones and it seemed they were better than mine. The 6+ screen was significantly better. Anyways I attached some pics of my iphone 6 next to my 5 and iPad Mini. Tell me if anyone notices a difference.

That last screenshot is terrible! I seems to me that you share the same problem as me. You have yellowiah tint but little cool tint at the left region. sorry to hear that you're going through same trouble as we are. It's unacceptable. I strongly recommend you return it for full refund within 14 days or ask for a replacement

And for Apple support these days whether it's genius bar technician or apple care on phone it's based on person to person. Sometimes you come across very helpful and understanding ones, if not it'll be the ones like you spoke to 😟. no one is making anything up it is a fact! That these displays are defective

Thanks for the heads up and I'm fully aware. I try to avoid exchanging and being a problem. Just how bad the support is, I have an iPhone 5, I went in to trade it in towards my iPhone 6, they told me they can't because the sleep/wake button was broken. I told them that it was defective, they told me I would have to pay for the repair first then trade it in. So I didn't trade it in. Go to work, a co-worker tells me Apple has a repair program, just go to a link on their site enter the serial and see if your phone qualifies. I do that go back to another person at the Lynnwood store and they tell me they can repair it no cost, they just need to send it in. I was pretty upset because I already paid for my iPhone 6 when I was trying to save some money and use my iPhone 5 to upgrade.

So I have this to deal with on top of the issue with my iPhone 6. I'm just shaking my head at how bad things are getting. I might ask for a full refund for my phone here if I don't get some ACTUAL help.

Yep (will label you as a problem customer). This happened to me a few years back when purchasing a 15" macbook pro. I had three in a row with dead pixels. It was pretty funny. I asked the rep on the third one if he would honestly buy a laptop with dead pixels in the screen. The manager came over and said they could not do anymore exchanges...even with blatenely obvious dead pixels on the screen.

Can you post how your silver one is? I seen so many with a yellow screen, I had this issue with my 5. I have the 6 in space gray and the screen is flawless but I think I want silver and I am scared to exchange it in fear of getting a yellow one. This yellow screen issue goes all the way back to the iPhone 3GS. I really don't know why it was never rectified. People were making correlations by the serial numbers, they come from different manufacturer plants. I have a serial number that starts with DNP, I don't know if that helps but it is not yellow at all. I don't think it matters, I think its how its calibrated. I could be wrong.

Customer service is a joke these days. Do you know this yellow issue goes way back. I think I had 5 iPhone 5's before getting one without a yellow screen. I find it distracting and I can't get used to it. I was watching some un boxing videos of the 6 on youtube in silver, and the screens were ugly yellow on most. You could clearly see it. You are the paying customer and if your going to pay money for something, it needs to be to your satisfaction.

Just some more evidence as to my yellowing screen on my iPhone 6.

I've attached pictures of me using a color meter on a photo. The photo is the same one I posted early, it's of my iPhone 5 next to my iPhone 6 next to my iPad mini.

As you notice the yellow % is 0 for both the 5 and Mini, but the 6 has a yellow % of 8. Both the 5 and Mini come up as the same color while the 6 says beige, sometimes ivory on certain parts.

We will see what they say Monday, I can't say I have very high expectations of their customer service though. On top of it, my iPhone 6 has been randomly crashing and rebooting and looses sync with my itunes when I'm trying to add music, it'll just get stuck in a process loop and remain "waiting to process" or whatever that status is.

I probably would be in a better mood about all this if the customer service didn't jerk me around and treat me like I'm stupid. User uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded file

Went to Apple Store in Bath, UK. They replaced space grey with silver version. Opened it and 😟 was welcomed with same problem and on top of that there is a small circular region at the center where the brightness of the phone was different compared to the rest of the screen. Returned for full refund 😟 going back home. What a wasted effort standing in line for hours to get it on launch day etc etc

When I went to the Apple store in Altamonte, FL all of the white iPhone 6 showed the yellowing and shadowing to some extent. The Black/Space Grays were hit or miss. The ones without the shadowing looked nice, clear and crisp. Personally, I prefer white/silver because of the durability factor. But I would also like a clear and white screen since I mostly read text on my phone (I do not game or use misc. apps outside of communication). I'm going to request an exchange and will likely keep the better of the two. I'm only going to attempt white again because I'll be requesting an exchange so I do not have to interact with anyone at the Apple store or wait in any lines...
