iPhone 6 screen yellow tint?

Just got my iPhone 6 and the screen seems to be dull with a yellowish tint. It's especially noticeable when the screen is next to my iPhone 5. Anyone else having this issue? I had it on my 4S and Apple swapped my phone twice. I'm hoping not to do that with my iPhone 6 and wondering if anyone knew what the deal was.

there is teo types of screen nowdayd ,the cooler ones with blue tint and warm displays with yellowish tint ! Iphones displays have these two types ,it depends who was the manufacturer of your display ! To me the yellowish tint is better for reading and general with more saturated colors ! I had an iphine 5 with yellowish display and man i loved ,my friend has with blue tint ,cooler colors but i never liked ,i got an iphone 6 one week ago and iwas hoping i will got a warm screen ! I was lucky ,i got it ! Of course it is a personal preference ! My ipad air have yellowish screen and next to my ipad 2 which had a blue tint it looks better to me ! Samsung amoled displays are warm i like how they looks! So this is not a defection dont worry , if you are a reader it is the best display you could have for reading ! Flux is a jailbreak tweak that makes displays warmer (yellowish) for reading ! So this is the best option for your eyes !

Drongorious,

We are not talking about colour temperature but, the UNEVEN yellow tint

evident on most of Apple's rubbish these days. It's clearly a fault that QA

is failing to pick up on. So that you understand, we're talking about

screens which are of normal tint and the top and then yellow near the home

button at the bottom. Totally unacceptable which is why I'm no longer an

Apple customer.

So after waiting a bit over a month I took the plunge and got my 6 replaced again. Rather then wasting time and gas doing the bee-dance ritual to a most likely brain dead Genius at the nearest Apple Store over 20 miles away I decided to go the advanced replacement route, and I'm glad I did! The first one that arrived had a half inch gouge in the display as well as the top half of the screen being dark, with backlight leaking out of the mute switch. After a 45 minute phone call and emailing two pics of this "factory engraved" display I had another one on the way. I recieved replacement number 4 a few days ago and thank god i finally got one with a perfectly acceptable display. It still doesn't look 100% perfect, but it's evenly lit, colored and doesn't appear to have any other defects so I'm happy.

One funny thing is both of the last two replacements I've gotten are F73, week 38 models, presumably from the same batch or very close to one another and yet one had a bad screen and the other was perfectly fine... I'm guessing by January or so there should be more "good" ones cranking out then these nasty uneven-screened iPhones we've been plagued with.

I ordered iPhone 6 and maxed Macbook Pro couple of weeks ago. This is kinda unbelievable what is going on nowadays in Apple regarding quality control.

I have already sent back 2 phones and received 3rd one today. All have yellow screens comparing to other Iphone 6 in local stores(checked 3). The store's ones are clear, cool and crispy. All phones received were yellowish and a bit dull. Macbook's Pro screen (what the pro stands for?) was yellow tinted on the left side. How is that possible that laptops with much much lower price tags don't have such issues. Every issue is screen connected and not acceptable for me especially in macbook pro. I was a really used to apple products and liked it very much however after my recent purchases and back sending i am really considering a change.

I could tolerate (stand) yellow and dark cloud on MacBook Pro (use only windows 7). But 4.7" is such a little real estate, 10% of smudge will ruin the whole experiences.

From what people have reported and I read, dark/yellow bands appear at top, bottom or corner. It means the LCD is good but the manufacturing process damaged those area (smudged) when fitting the screen on, being it glue, air leaking (popping sound in one case), or uneven pressure (pressure does change LCD color/lighting a lot).

Someone overseeing the production line should examine some samples and found out why this happened.

What is the most important part and also the most expensive and also most used? the screen. One bad screen can easily kill a company.

Previous LCD was sourced at $99 and now the larger size is around $73. LG LCD is far inferior than Samsung - easily see from their TVs.

i got my gold iphone 6 2 weeks ago , and i am totally ashamed to say i paid so much money for an astoundingly bad quality screen , mine has a yellow tint in the top right corner and white everywhere else , since there are so many people returning them and not getting anything much better in the way of a replacement i don't think im going to bother , on the same hand once this phone is completely dead and i need a new one i will never buy apple again , i mean come on , my moms moto g has a better quality screen than this phone and that cost less than 100 off contract.

How apple can just do and say nothing about this crappy screen quality is beyond me and i will most definitely be buying a different brand next time around.
