On my new iphone 6 touch id failed on setup with message " Failed unable to complete touch it setup please go back and try again."
I cannot get the new iPhone 6 to accept a fingerprint. When I try to add a fingerprint, it just keeps going back to the same error message.
One unusual thing, was that I had disabled my passcode on my iPhone 5S before the final backup. Now I can't use Touch ID on my new iPhone 6!

Thank you for your input I had the same problem but after reading your post I turned off my iphone 6+ and started right back and was able to reset my fingerprint Thank you!!!!
I did also same,but some working and again same issue

i got this error after i update my ios 9.1

There are a number of fixes for this problem. But the one which worked for me on my iPhone 6 plus is as under.
Go to settings.
Then click accessibility in general settings.
Turn off the "reachbility" and then turn off the iPhone
Turn on iPhone again and turn on reachability.
Now surely u can set the Touch ID.

Go to Support.apple.com They can test your touch I'd over your wifi
Then tell you about getting a repair.
