iPhone 6 barometer not working

It looks like the barometer in my iPhone 6 (64GB AT&T) is not functioning. The "Flights Climbed" data under the "Health" app is not getting any data and the iPhone does not show up under "data sources" in the "share data" submenu. It does show up in the "Steps" tab. I've tried resetting the phone (and have done plenty of laps on the stairs). Anyone else experiencing similar issues? Does anyone know of a direct method for verifying the barometer's functionality?

If you're interested in the direct pressure measurements of the barometer, you can take a look at an app we made, Barometer++:

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/barometer++/id922220265

It will tell you the pressure the barometer is measuring (in various units), as well as the relative elevation increased or decreased from a set point that you have the option to reset. I.e., you can check if your iPhone says you are going up ~a few meters as you climb a set of stairs, to find out if there's a bug with HealthKit or the barometer itself. (I suspect it's HealthKit)

EDIT: I didn't scroll through all the responses, and missed that my colleague Josh already responded to this thread. Sorry for the redundant answer! Hope you all enjoy the app!

Hey Frank,

I tried calibrating with Compass and it still shows one flight of stairs for the whole day. I live in a townhouse so I know that's not right. I go up and down those stairs at least 15 times a day. I downloaded the barometer app and it does show pressure change when I go up and down the stairs so it means it is most likely a bug with Health Kit. I've had other issues with health kit like double entries and such. It seems quite buggy right now

I had the same problem, no data collected the whole day. Switching the iPhone off and on again worked for me, but it's seems the not very accurate. When I go up 2 levels, it will count as one, which means if I go up only one level inside of my home, it will count nothing...

So just test it out, by going down in your cellar...let me know if that works for you guys.

Sincerely from Germany.
