Go to System Preferences>Network>How you are connected (wifi or ethernet)>Advanced>DNS. What DNS server(s) are listed?
Try use Google's servers, 8.8.8.8
ok, still no luck. Tried both DNS suggestions......connected by ethernet by the way?
Are all devices connected to a single wifi/ethernet router?
Try running this. Maybe yo have malware on the Mini.
Open Terminal, ping expatwoman.com and tell me the result.
Illyas and Csound1, I've just ran the adwaremedic and finger's crossed all seems to now be ok!!! I have tried expatwoman and the itv player and both websites are now downloading ok, no more 404 error messages so far.....
How did I get this adware in the first place and how can I avoid it again?
Thank you so much for your patience and help.
You downloaded it, that's how you got it. To avoid it in future the first line of defense is to read the terms of the download before agreeing to it. And never download from 3rd party sites (CNET etc). Vendor sites only.
Thank you! I was having this issue on my macbook air and this fixed it!
