iphone 6 headphone jack Issues

The iPhone 6 jack has too much tolerance and 1/2 the headphones I own cause cut outs or music to stops playing. In addition Siri will sometimes engage erroneously do to the movement in the headphone jack. I tried and iPhone 5 and all of my jacks fit very snug without any issues. The problem appears to be that the the iPhone 6 jack was designed to allow rotation of the connector and this is a problem for a number of headphones.

I have an iPhone 6s running iOS 10.2 and Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones with microphone. All was well until fairly recently when I discovered I can no longer use the headphones to make phone calls. I can still use them to listen to music but I make many long distance phone calls with the iPhone and I need headphones. I read about using a spacer. I bought one from RBH Sound after I read something on a discussion board. This did not solve my problem. Thinking of going to the Bose QuietComfort 35 earphones which use Bluetooth to connect. I have to shell out another $350 for these. The old headphones are like new. I'm not sure it is a physical problem. I suspect it has something to do with a recent software update. Anyone else out there having similar problems?
