iphone 6 plus rotation problem

I am having problems with my new iPhone 6 plus. The phones screen sometimes does not rotate when I rotate in landscape mode, and sometimes it does. It seems like a software bug, and I hope its not a hardware problem. Also sometimes the icons rotate 180 degrees [it flips] and its stuck like that for a while. The odd thing is Safari does not rotate with it. So when I open a webpage the page bottom is near the thumb sensor, but the icons are upside down. Which makes me think it most likely is a software problem, but not sure.

Anyone experiencing this problem, any solutions yet?

Yes and for some odd reason, I feel more virile now after iOS 8.0.2 than before. Those Apple Engineers. Man, they're something else!

I'm having the same problem with the Iphone 6 (not the plus version)

Sometimes it works then sometimes it won't work. Not sure if it's a bug or the phone it self.

AppleCare had me do "Reset All Settings" which seemed to address the issue.

Same Issue IPHONE6+ 16GB France , 8.0.2 didn t fix the issue , phone rotate ony when it want... and it doesn t want a lot ..

It's beyond infuriating to pay $1000 for a phone that can't even do the most basic of functions.

Just configure the compass. It fixed my problem no matter which update I have. Simple fix.

This didn't fix my problem (6+ 64GB, TMobile). It came back after few hours.

It is difficult to leave with so many tensions with a ~$1000 device. I expect more from Apple.

I have been PROBLEM-FREE for a week now, and i have iOS 8.02 installed. I installed it yesterday. For me a factory reset [erasing all data and settings] seemed to work.If you tried a software reset and it still is happening for you, i would contact Apple for further instructions. They will probably advise you to go to Apple store or send the phone back for testing.

Didn't factory reset yet. Did you restore from a backup after the reset? If so, from iCloud or iTunes?
