iOS 8 iPad Air Videos App - No Thumbnails For TV Shows

I am having the same problem. I just bought a brand new iPad air and the thumbnails do not show up when i downloaded some video's through iTunes. I am very disappointed. When will apple fix this problem????????? After all I have a brand new iPad and you would not think it should come with a problem like this. Apple please help fix this for us!😠

Your new iPad is working fine. Apple fouled up IOS 8. It was working fine in IOS 7, but Apple broke something when they were cleaning IOS 7 to debut it as IOS 8. Should have been an easy fix: just cannibalize the code from IOS 7 and stick it into IOS 8. Lots of complaints on this one. It's a big club (we've got jackets)

I am afraid to update my iDevices to the new iOS 8.1.2 only to see if my thumbnails are back... and discover that this is an even worse version.

Same problem here. Autistic son NEEDS THUMBNAILS! They USED to be visible but have disappeared.

MOST upsetting: the fact that, even though this bug has been around for MONTHS, no one from Apple Support has commented here. For the amount of hard-earned money we spend on Apple products, someone from the manufacturer's side should be monitoring this forum and weighing in on these issues.

Seriously considering selling my iPad and buying a Samsung Galaxy tablet -Android has no such problems, and they offer decent customer support. We're not on "hold" here - it appears we're on "ignore".

STILL having this problem. I have plenty of thumbnails that are NOT square - and some work... some don't. This is really obnoxious that Apple apparently hasn't done a thing about it.

For what is is worth... I tried changing the artwork so that they are exactly square and it seems to work. Not elegant... but it seems to work for those that I have tried.

Same issue...... I just changed cover art to a square photo and voila it works! The individual episodes on the right side of the screen don't show the art, but the larger image on the left does show it. Screwed up.....

This continues to be of great frustration. I have literally hundreds of tv shows. I do not have the time to go through changing the cover art for each one. It seems to be hit and miss whether it works anyway. Are there specific dimensions for TV shows?

Apple really needs to address this. It’s been 6 or 7 months now. It used to work fantastic in iOS 7. Why change something that didn’t need fixing? Also TV shows grouping together unless the ‘director’ field is populated is frustrating. That needs looking at too.

I hope a can help. My son has special needs then a can't be waiting for apple. I had to converter every video to 1920*1080. I deleted every video from ipad and after converter, I add again do Itunes library and sinc. The thumbnails working now.
