If you avoid touching the menu button and deleting individual entries, the app still works. You can still enter and modify cases. Apparently the developers are aware of the problem and will release an update. The most important is not to delete the app otherwise you may loose all data.
Thank you very much for your response but in my case when I open igaslog no buttons work at all including the add button.
I do not know why but the app has completely got frozen. The developers website is not working either. I hope that they are working on it and that the this issue resolves soon.
Try closing down the app and restart after that. Intuis case, if you do not touch the menu button, the rest of the app should work. Touching the menu button will freeze the app down. At least this is my experience.
I tried as you suggested restarting without touching memue button but still nothing is working.
thanks
I have the same problem - it's comletely frozen and I can't do anything. And I'm afraid that developers are not working on it and they no loger exist 😟.
I'm sorry if it did not work, i still enter my patients as i don't have a choice. I am not sur how creditable the info is, but the developers had said on other sites they work on an update. The company no longer exists, however it does not mean one of the coding guy cannot nake the necessary changes. Let's hope.
I have the same issue with iGasLog being completely frozen following update to iOS 8 on iPhone 5. It sadly doesn't make any difference not touching the menu button (and in any case I need to be able to create reports and therefore need access to the main menu). iMobileMedic.com website just has a lot of David Bowie stuff on it! No contact info or anything vaguely useful. Not very impressed after paying $38 for an App and potentially loosing all that data. Hope someone can sort it out.
Hi guys! I have the same problem 😟 nothing works... and I have an interview in 2 weeks time so need to be able to access my logbook ASAP... I have an ipad with the old version of Igaslog.. anyone knows if its possible to transfer the data from the portal to the ipad?? Cause when I say import data on the app on my ipad the it just shows an empty portal! 😟
HI
I Have written a fairly comprehendive post on doctors.net forum on the options avaioable to people suffering with igaslog on iOS 8. The truth is the app was abandoned years ago and there will not be an update by he imobilemedic team that once existed.
TO on access the post search the forum for igaslog iOS 8
It is promising to see the note of incompability warning on igaslog page on iTunes. I do not think that anybody apart from the developers have access to that page so there is a hope it may get updated.
Is there anyway of accessing it other than through the doctors.net forum because I don't have access to the forum anymore which involves sending a copy of GMC certificate to re-instate it.
Hello.
I'm sorry to hear about all these iGasLog problems.
I'm actually working on a replacement that should be available in a few weeks. Would anyone be interested? I'm hoping we can import your existing records from iGasLog in the process.
Tim
HI,
I'm sure there are thousands of anaesthetists who would want to continue to use the iGaslog or change to something else with the same functionality. The key issue in here is how to import the data. Those contain sensitive information so the new app should directly import all the data. I have nearly 2000 patients' data what don't want to loose.
The app has not been updated since June of 2001 2011. Looking at their Web site, this app appears to be abandoned. You can try to contact the developer to see if they have any plans to update for iOS 8 compatibility, but I doubt it.
I am desperate to access the information in IGas log - any ideas on how to do this? (I also don't have access to doctors.net). I'm not interested in using the app anymore, am so angry we didn't get any warning about this, but I just want to get the information that is there.
I have been emaiiling myself backups - which I've never used and now when I try opening the back-up file - my Mac says it can't open the file! So I don't even have those.
Anyone tried re-installing ios7 and accessing it that way?? Am quite nervous to do that!
Please help!
