So when I I turn it on manually it's says on the screen for a second, that my Apple TV is not connected to the internet.

my Apple TV is a week old after being replaced by apple by apple for a faulty unit (blank screen).

Please don't be upset.. That is what I merely pointing out. My coments are not directed at you personally. I do understand that you were only trying to help and as I said, there are informative and very helpful. It's ok to realise that sometimes one does not know what somebody else is meaning, that's the pitfalls and the beauty of language. But also to realise that other possibillitys (drawn from logic, not hard facts) may also hold the answer.

AS you can read from my last reply that I was saying that it needs to be brought to apples attention.

I am not upset at all, not sure what in my response indicated that. I can't speak for the others, but in your scenario there are network issues at play. When it comes to networking it will require looking at the facts and proper troubleshooting should always take place before assuming otherwise.

From what i've seen there have only been a couple threads, and this is always the case after an update is released. However, you are welcome to bring it to Apple's attention, you just need to contact them through the aformentioned methods.

It is likely that you have bluetooth enabled. The IOS 8 allows for networking the ATV using bluetooth for the handshake along with WIFI to transmit to the ATV. When switching devices you may have to turn off and turn on bluetooth for that connectivity. If you do not have bluetooth enabled on either side you are likely not going to have any issue with your devices on the network.

There are a few new things that are probably not well-documented and may be problematic. It takes a few seconds when reinitializing the link with bluetooth and WIFI when hooking up to a non-networked ATV. I discovered this yesterday. It is a bit slower than a pure WIFI network. Apple did not put out much information prior to the release and that is probably where much of the confusion came from. In working through the settings, it is actually pretty neat that non-networked ATVs can be used.

No, no Bluetooth turned on And not on iOS 8 As it seems all the i's have not been dotted ect, as I use my iPad as a serious Music production tool and there are some serious issues being reported with the latest version of iOS And music apps!

So the latest from Robin (bloody nice bloke) an ATV engineer, After extinguishing all network fault possibillitys and another full restore of ATV!

there seems there could be a problem with the update and he's kicked the problem up to engineering and should get back to me within 4 days.

he also mentioned that they had a similar problem with a previous ATV update!

As soon as I hear from him/them I will let you all Know.
