iOS 8 Exchange Email no longer Pushes

Ever since I upgraded to iOS 8 on my iPhone 5 my exchange email has gone silent. I no longer get emails pushed to my phone (whether on WiFi or LTE). Instead, I have to open up the Mail application and it will then update with new emails.

I have reset the phone and checked the settings. Nothing is different, but exchange emails do not push to my iPhone 5 any longer using iOS 8.

Is there a fix for this, or will this require a new release?

Wanted to post our update/fix

The final fix was a new wireless router at the employee's house.

Employee would go home and problem would hit outside our network. This continued on a weekly basis.

Finally, we replaced the "old D-Link" wireless router with a new one, in this case a new Airport Extreme, and problem has been eliminated.

No problems since.

Not sure if it was due to the router brand, crappy Wi-Fi signal, or low cable provider bandwidth. We have only seen this one other time with an employee staying at a hotel using hotel Wi-Fi. But just adding the Exchange active sync account back into the phone fixed it once they got back to the office.

Hope this helps someone.

Here's how I've fixed my push issues.

In the Mail app itself;

Click Mailboxes,

Click Edit,

Select all exchange email accounts you use, and rearrange in whatever order best suits you.

Click Done,

Go back out into Settings/ Mail/ Fetch New Data,

Turn Push OFF,

Turn phone off and restart,

Click back into settings/mail/fetch new data and turn Push ON.

Worked like this for me.

Hope this helps 🙂
