I just updated my 2010 macbook pro to the 10.9.5 of OSX Mavericks.
Howerver, after reboot, it seems that both my wifi and my bluetooth devices are "gone".
The computer seems not to even see the hardware as the wifi icon on the top bar shows no hardware found.
Also, no way to find any of the two in the network panel....
anybody has something like that?

I tried this already by deleting the wifi from the network panel.
Problem is, I can not add it back because its not in the list of interface/new device.... hardware just seems gone...
I'm having the same issue with my early 2008 MacBook Pro. Installed 10.9.5 update and since has not been able to connect to any wifi. No issues prior. Other wifi's working fine with other MacBooks.
I have the same problem. I did what you said about holding the option key down and I found the Wi-Fi. What is the next step?
After reverting back to 10.9.4, my wireless is back up and working just fine.
Thx for the hint with the hardware test. Fortunately there were no errors detected, unfortunately my bluetooth problem keeps going.
If your system is under warranty or AppleCare, it probably would be good to take it in for tests, and probably repairs.
Great to hear that it's a 10.9.5 issue - wifi, mouse, keyboard - all sporadically crazy, the wifi being the worst of the lot. Looking forward to fix.
This worked for me system preferences - energy saver - uncheck "wake for network access" then restart. I hope this works for others. I knew it wasn't a hardware problem
how to revert back to 10.9.4?
coz apparently 10.9.5 is crap, and should be flush down the toilet instead of asking people to update.
