iPhone 6 Plus Keeps Crashing PLEASE HELP!

I am a huge Apple fan, so I ask this question wishing and hoping my iPhone 6 Plus would just perform the way I know it should be.

Since restoring from my old iPhone 5S backup onto my 6 Plus 128GB (AT&T) running iOS 8.0, my 6 Plus is laggy (animations are very slow and stutter), freezy (after hitting "done" it often freezes for a good five seconds before registering the click), buggy (the keyboard sometimes doesn't appear at all, the "halos" around the folders on the home screen sometimes appear and sometimes don't, seems totally arbitrary), and crashy (whenever doing certain tasks like fast app switching, trying to change wallpaper, and others, the phone crashes, turns off the radios, then shows the Apple screen before rebooting). The crashing is happening once every five to ten minutes, making the phone VERY FRUSTRATING TO USE.

I have tried manually restarting the phone, HOME + SLEEP reset to the Apple screen, and restoring again...My next step is a factory reset and manual reinstallation of all my apps again, which is making me sick just thinking about it...

All of these things scream SOFTWARE to me, but what do I know...is anyone else experiencing these issues on the 6 Plus? Should I just be waiting for an OS update, or did I just get a lemon phone? As I said, I love Apple, and this is not a post to flame (so please save your "Go buy an Android" for someone who cares). I just want my shiny new phone to work!!! Any help is appreciated.

It does sound like something in your iPhone 5s backup isn't playing well with your new Plus. As awful as it sounds, I would recommend setting up your new fabulous phone like a new phone and manually adding your apps back.

I have a similar issue, but no red screen. Suddenly it will just reboot with the Apple logo. Other times the top half of the screen is light grey and the bottom half is dark grey; it will flash like that a couple of times and then just reboot with the Apple logo for what seems like forever. This started on day one, seemed to stop for a few days and just restarted again. I want to go back to my iPhone5!

Same issue started yesterday.

The phone is unusable, it constant;y is restarting. It restarts I see the apple logo white screen then half the screen is red and other half blue, then it will restart and repeat. Sometimes the screen is grey and dark grey and restarts.

None stop problems with my 6S plus and it was brand new a few weeks ago.

Now I have to wait several days for an appointment at the apple store where I will demand a brand new device right there and then.

My issues before this problem where, very bad static while charging the phone and then the wifi switch would not turn on and was greyed out.

Same goes for me here

iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB and it often crashes and takes me to the Apple logo screen for a few seconds and then back again to lock screen

I realized this happens everytime I'm switching apps be it through the notification screen, through the double-clicking the home button or the top-left option to go back to the previous app you were at

This really makes me mad because Apple claim to focus on quality and design. What quality?

Furthermore, this thing here is one of the most expensive smartphones around and we have to deal with this mediocre performance

Just adding to the post in hopes it will prompt Apple to DO SOMETHING!!! iPhone6s+ crashes repeatedly, I cannot hook my phone via USB or Bluetooth to my car anymore at all.....causes freezing (geez - I can't even turn the darn thing off with a hard reboot!). Periodically just freezes in general, or if I pull up Settings it's a blank-white page......! Just FIX THIS APPLE!

You will need to contact Apple, as these are only user to user technical forums. You can leave them Feedback or use the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page. Apple do not come here but only supply the site and appoint monitors to remove posts that are against the Terms Of Use that we all agree to when joining these forums.

Cheers

I appreciate the good intentions Pete! I was at the Apple Store yesterday & the tech confirmed that Apple does read these, not every post or every thread, but ones with high-count responses & comments.

Yes, you're right, as I also said above.

I managed to solve my iPhone 6 crashes on sync. There were a few photos that it didn't like. I was able to narrow it down by going to each year, selected all the images, creating a New Album, and naming it by that year. Then I removed any existing photos on the phone and then, one by one, I began syncing each year album until the phone crashed. Then I went into that year and found suspect images and deleted them. This solved the issue.

Hey everyone, I FIXED THIS PROBLEM. How? I had to buy a new iphone.

I had an iphone 6 plus that crashed constantly, like 20+ times per day. I tried EVERYTHING to fix it. Hard reset. Wiping my phone and restoring from backup. Toggling LTE data, airplane mode. Disabling notifications. Everything. EVERYTHING.

None of it worked. Apple insisted it was a software issue, caused by an app. It wasn't. It was a hardware issue.

The point is this--it's not always a software issue. Sometimes it's because your phone is a piece of crap and needs to be replaced. My new iphone 6s plus works perfectly.

Hope this helps.
