My iphone 6 plus takes a long time to charge

I am finding that my phone is taking a long time to charge. It has so far taken 2 hours and 15 mins to get from 18% to 88%.😕

If it's the Apple 12 W iPad adapter it should charge in under 2.5 hours. If it isn't there's some app running on your phone that is using energy as the phone is charging.
