iPhone 6 camera upside down

Why does my camera take the pictures upside down? There isn't an option to rotate unless I edit ever single picture. I'm NOT using the volume button. Im using the onscreen button.

Well it's over a year since this thread was started and my iphone is still doing this with no fix or even acknowledgement to be found from Apple.

Got a 5 (since it's launch) and had to recalibrate the compass every single time i've used the compass. So having to do this every time i want to make a video is outragous when you think of how much these things cost.

I have to conclude that because of this the iphone's video recording feature is not fit for purpose and i feel it's highly irrisponsible and dishonest for Aplle to not be making this issue clear in their advertisisng at particuarly at the point of purchase.

I'm a TV and Film Editor and would most certainly have not chosen an iphone if this had been clear and with well over a year of complaints in just this one thread it's clearly 'a known fault'.

Even if they can't manage to fix the recording issue on the iphone, they could at least add a rotation feature to iphoto. It seems like they couldn't care less about it.

Apple need to fix this pronto or their mobile platform will lose out even more to Samsung than their video editing platform lost to Avid. In the meantime it appears people are having treasured memories ruined because they trusted Apple's expensive iphone to record it.

It's a common problem, it happens to me too. If we use the volume buttons for shooting pictures, then the lens is on the bottom right of the screen which is ridiculous!

I cannot believe that Apple have put the volume keys on the wrong side or let's say the lens on the wrong side one or the other. If they want you to use the volume keys as a camera button to shoot with, then that means they have put the lens just where your right hand holds the camera on the bottom of the camera in landscape mode that's absolutely insane

if the volume keys to shoot the camera are on the top right of the device when you Point it, then the lens should be either also on the top right or the top left but it is not, it's on the bottom right of the backside of the camera in landscape mode when shooting pictures

it's ridiculous to put the lines on the bottom right corner of the camera in landscape mode just so you can have the volume case to shoot pictures with. That really doesn't make sense at all

That is a very bad mistake in the design features of the iPhone 5s camera. Anyway since iOS 9 the camera won't even focus properly and the viewfinder is half as wide as it used to be because the toolbars take up half the screen. So I feel like I'm taking me need to pictures because I can't see the full screen anymore in the viewfinder

my first iPhone 5s was great about three years ago when I first got one and I made lots of great pictures with it and had Steve videos. But since iOS 9 I don't use it as a Camera anymore because it's rubbish
