IPAD2 very slow after IOS 8 upgrade

After IOS 8 upgrade many aplications ( Safari, Facebook, etc) load very, very slow (comparing with 7 version) , with a significant delay of more than 10 seconds...

Who can I solve this problem? Any workaround?

PD

Apple should better test the software before delivering.

Thanks.

There are millions in the installed user base and there are not millions here ... very simply ... :-) ...

In addition there are iPad 2 users who have reported here on this forum that they have upgraded without problems. In addition to those, there areiPad 2 users who have reported initial problems and have now reported solutions on this forum.

This shows that iPad 2 users who are having problems now ... have the proof that it is technically feasible to have their iPad 2 running normally. As everyone's problems and issues are different and they each have unique situations in their own machines, there will be no "one universal answer" to fix theirs. And that is already shown here on this forum, as the solutions I've seen reported by one user might not work for the next user.

Star Traveler: Even the guy at the Apple Store said he was feeling my pain, and was still having the same problems with his iPad 2. This was two days ago (October 7th). But I'm sure he was not as capable as the millions of satisfied users you are describing.

I think you work for Apple. If you delete this post too--one I think the forum would find very relevant--I promise to send at least 5 more emails to the technology journalists of major publications about this malfeasance, one of whom has emailed me back acknowledging Apple's history of "getting people to upgrade."

I think you work for Microslop and you're using Apple' forum to foment trouble.

To the contrary, Philly_Phan.

I don't work for Microslop or Samsung (you said I worked for Samsung earlier). I had bad experiences with the S2, and can't wait to replace my PC.

Maybe I'm just someone that's upset that a device that greatly improved the quality of my life, and productiveness at work, was--needlessly--"updated" into obsolescence. And maybe I'm a little frustrated after having spent so much time--needlessly--working through the problems and trying to fix them, to no avail. Maybe, too, I'm just really bummed that the company I trusted and admired could let this happen and do so little to fix it (at least for the iPad 2's).

Technical advice: Try rebooting.

MY ipad2 has so many troubles after upgrade to ios8... ;-( even the touchscreen has problem. need to click ten times on a link to follow it. Incredible, i am a good customer got iphones, macbook pro, i use to recommand it to my family... I can't believe apple does consider like a cash machine to buy their new product. When you say quality, you mean ephemeral product for rich customer, right ?

Thank you for your answer, but SRSLY do i need a so called genious bar to support your upgrade ? I also have a nokia windows phone, and the upgrade to windows 8.1 made it faster. that is what i call a software upgrade. What you did was a performance downgrade for not so old devices. could you give me one example of software configuration which can restore my ios7 performances ?

There are still many unsatisfied customers who are struggling with the upgrade. You have read the attempts to gain satisfaction by going to the Apple Geniuses and Apple Support. I am still experiencing problems with my iPad 2.

The iOS 8 upgrade problem is real and difficult to deal with.

We have 2 Ipad 2's. One is 16GB and the other is 32GB. I updated the 16GB to IOS 8.

Initially there were quite a few problems that I solved by reading suggestions from this forum.

I was impressed by the contributions and suggestions. I have used many and the Ipad 2

16GB is running much better but I had to move all of the Pics to my PC and remove some

APPS that seemed troublesome. There is no doubt that the Ipad 2 with IOS 8 is running slower

than the Ipad 2 with IOS 7 but the latter has more space 32GB vs 16GB on the unit

running IOS 8.

I think the Ipad 2 16GB unit will be limited with IOS 8 but can still function fine. We have

not used either with cellular since the change but will probably only use cellular on the

unit running IOS 7 and 32GB.

I am hopeful that Apple will make some more improvements to IOS 8 so that

both Ipads run smoothly. I do find it annoying looking at a white screen waiting for

email to open. Safari is not running as smoothly on IOS 8.

I Am also in complete agreement. I have never had this much trouble with a device. I would also add the, " as I like to call it." (black screens of death), in which you push an app two or three times thinking the pad did not get the command, although it is only being very slow, finally opening the app going black, and repeating the process up to the amount of times you pushed the app. The update has also apparently convinced the I pad 2 that some of the keys on the key board are unnecessary or they are treated like the apps and have to be entered two or three times before being recognized as needed in the sentence.
