2014 Subaru Outback Pairing Bluetooth IOS 8, iPhone 6

I cannot get my iPhone 6 with IOS 8 to work properly with my cars Bluetooth option. The phone pairs correctly but will not dial out over the car speakers and I'm unable to answer incoming calls.

Anyone else having this problem?

I concur with mtnrunner2's remarks. Thank you to all who figured out that the stereo system utilized by Subaru does not delete a previously paired phone unless you do so via the voice command. This was driving me bonkers. To top it off, I'd become distracted by the shiny object once I arrived home and would forget about it until I started my car again.

Took my Subaru to the dealer for its 60k maintenance and had the same issue. I feel like an idiot. I upgraded to iOS 9 and suddenly the calls were going to my phone not the speakers or so I thought. I tried all the suggestions re-pairing,resetting the phone etc... The music and the phone via Bluetooth have separate volume controlS. My iPhone making a call was turning the stereo volum to 0 so I just couldn't hear it and thought it was on the phone. Dealer turned up the radio volume knob. It was magic!!!

Hello,

Having got a new iphone 6 IOS9 to go with my Subaru XV 2014 I've just fought my way through connecting it. Perhaps it will help if I elaborate on the 'fix' above, because it did work. The key is that you are trying to pair with a 'phone' not with an 'audio device', and that using the controls on the radio only does 'audio device'. By pressing off-hook on the steering wheel you get into 'phone' settings, and delete old phone or pair with new 'phone' from there.
