loose screen on the iPhone 6?

Does the top left corner of the iPhone 6 have a slight give when you press on it? Every other corner seems to be solid except for that one corner. I will avoid pressing on it but my concern is that it may become loose in the future.

I am incredibly frustrated with this issue, and not entirely happy with how Apple has handled it up to this point.

My original iPhone 6+ I had for about 6 months and the clicking started, a couple months before my warranty expired I took it in for service and at this time the represenative told me I would have to leave my phone with them for 1.5 to 2 hours for them to replace the screen, I wasn't happy with this answer and that was all they could do to help me at the time. I wanted my device replaced, no need for me to stand around a mall I have no intrest at being in for the better part of 2 hours.

I called Apple support and long story short they sent me back to the store with only a 45 minute screen replacement.

A month later the dreaded clicking came back, this time out of my warrant. I did have the 90-days parts and replacement warranty. I called my guy at Apple and he got me another appointment, for them to again, replace my screen.

Went to this appoitment, had my screen replaced. Not even a week later and it is happening again, called my guy at Apple - he promised a product replacement this time and would note it in my file since I have an out of warranty device.

Got to Apple Store last night for appointment. No notes where in my file to reflect a Customer Satisfaction device replacement - so I had to re-explain all my problems, show them that I've been working on this same issue since before warranty expired and then they decided they would replace the device.

This is part my fault too, I guess, I should have inspected the device before leaving the store. I just didnt expect to recieve a 'loose screen' iPhone 6+ from Apple's refurbished devices, but low and behold I did. This ones screen clicking at the top of the device is so much worse than my original iPhone 6+.

I e-mailed my guy at Apple last night, I'm so incredibly frustrated at this point. Going to the Apple Store is a huge inconvience for me, the closest one to my home is 45 minutes, I hate the mall and the amount of time I've had to put into fixing this problem is flat out ridiclious. Hopefully I will hear something from Apple today, and just sending me to a store, again, is REALLY going to make me mad. I've dealt with this issue as an adult the entire time now, but now im getting fed up with being nice about it. You shouldn't expirence this same problem over and over on a device that cost almost $1000!

I have had this problem with three phones. First, Iphone 5S. I brought back to Apple and they gave me a new 5S. But then it happened again. So I assumed it had to be something I was doing. I was certain that steam from the shower (I used to leave on a shelf in the bathroom) caused some glue separation or something. But I now have an iphone 6 and the problem is there again. I can't imagine I always get the defective units. So it must be something I am doing, but just can't figure out what.

This should be a recall by now from Apple. My iPhone 6 screen has been loose from day one at the bottom right. It drives me mad, paying top dollar for a phone and having to deal with this cheap excuse. I took it to the apple store right after I purchased it, and the attendant discouraged me from pursuing the issue any further saying that this was within normal operation of the device. I then walked around in the store, and noticed that about 90% of the phones had this same issue... so I went home. It really hasn't gotten any worse, or better, and it gives me something to do while I wait somewhere, click, click, click, click... OK we are ready to see you now... click, click.

In my case I have a simple solution, I just hand it down to one of my kids, and be more careful on my next purchase from Apple. You can just buy it, and take it home anymore, you need to check it out first! Is Apple signaling a turn on their quality? OMG stockholders, take this into consideration on your long term plans!

I am reading this in 2016, not sure if you could see my reply, I had the similar experience as you did in 2015, I bought 5-6 iPhone, because every single one had an issue, and the one that I am still using now was problematic but then I had to relocate overseas, so I just kind of put a case on it pretended that there's no clicking. One time when I went to Apple Store, the girl told me - you are not supposed to press the screen so hard. I was shocked it was a touch screen phone, if I don't touch the screen how do i use it. Disappointed.

This issue still exists - I had a screen replacement on an iPhone 6 and when I got it back I noticed it clicks when you press just by the volume button.

The guy in the Apple Store said it was within normal tolerance and the screens are designed to flex slightly otherwise they'd break. He then claimed that the frame was ever so slightly bent - which was demonstrably untrue - but he was clearly not going to budge so I left. I didn't know 'bendgate' was a problem with iPhone 6?

I felt they'd fobbed me off (not for the first time but to be fair they've been excellent in the past) but perhaps they're right and nobody should be pressing so hard on the screen anyway? You don't notice it at all with the case on so maybe they have a point. But if iPhones weren't so fragile you wouldn't really need a case at all!

I Have the same problem but on the bottom right side including the edge. It has got the clicking sound and the screen seems to pop out. I don't know what to do because my warranty had got expired on March 17 2016.

I Started facing problems battery problems just after 3 months from purchase and when that had not become much of an issue, I had problems with "No Service" due to which I had do change 3 different carriers, and now soon after that, the screen popping out and now it has worsened w the clicking sound.

I do not know if my phone would get replaced . I'm a student and I have spent my complete two year and eight months savings on this phone, and I don't have any more money to spend on any of the repairs. I would not like to pay any charge for replacing my phone, and if I have to, then I'm not going to buy any more Apple product.

This was my first Apple product and i am very very disappointed.

Now I think that a Samsung would not have costed much lesser than this phone and would run for 3 years without much problem.

Aple please help, I still have some hope in you.

I had this issue back on May 26, 2016 it happened to the point my screen wouldn't work at all. Went to the Genius bar, and they charged me $300 for a replacement phone. Yesterday (July 17, 2016) I noticed the same thing is happening again. I expect this to be fixed free of charge when I go into the Apple Store tomorrow. This shouldn't be happening on a $1000 phone that I replaced for $300. My phone upgrade is in Dec. and I refuse to pay anymore money for this phone when this is clearly a common issue with the phone.

On my phone it was the bottom right corner which at first began to click. This was my first replacement phone, in a few days it was quite noticeable, at that point I called apple care to report the issue. They sent me another replacement which within a couple of days had the same issue. I am now on the 4th replacement each with the sam issue which is on its way now. They expect me to cover the cost for shipping which I do have issue with considering apple send me defective phones as replacements. One of the applecare "advisors" even told me that they had been having this very problem right from factory. What a hassle, It would have been less expensive to have had it fixed myself. I will never buy apple care insurance again..

Looks like It is a typical problem!

My story!

Bought new iPhone 6 ( 64 Gbit)

after 3-4 months screen from left started to get "loose"

I had insurance and I dropped my phone so Insurance got me new one.

Second iPhone 6 also had problems with scree starting to get loose after ~6 months ..

And as clumsy I am a dropped the new phone and got another one ...

Now the 3-thrd phone - again the screen is getting more and more loose ...

I had it and went to Apple shop and asked, whatta hekk in going on?

I payed like 900€ for it, and the build quality is garbage ...

Apple store workes showd me that the loose screen is noo "big deal" even hers was getting loose ..

ANd because 2 year warranty is over Get e NEW ONE!

At the end I went to real repair shop that told me about this problem.

What actually happens in most cases is that phone will bend a bit in your pocket and the glue that is used to attach the screen to your phone starts to get loose.

So there is actually 2 major reasons for that:

1) iPhone 6 aluminium case is really weak ant without extra frame to protect it - that makes it to bend.

2) Bending itself is not so big deal in other phones but iPhone 6 glue ( used with display) is really bad and screen will come loose...

So yeah.. Quality and durability is really BAD at least with iPhone 6, not so sure about others.

And Actually Im really amazed that there is no callback or refund campaign from Apple side because this is giving bad taste to all of us...

For ~1000$ and more I expect good software ( soft is actually good but not amazing) and best quality build and durable hardware .. currently the build quality and durability is a BIG disappointment.

My last hope is that SE models are better builds than other.

If not - why shuld I ever buy a new iPhone if it just is not usable on daily bases ....?
