loose screen on the iPhone 6?

Does the top left corner of the iPhone 6 have a slight give when you press on it? Every other corner seems to be solid except for that one corner. I will avoid pressing on it but my concern is that it may become loose in the future.

I have my fourth iP6 128 GB now. It still has the screen problem. A brand new one now is on the way to me.

I hope that at least this one will be fine. The one I have now in the beginning had the klicking only in the upper left corner. Now it has this on the whole left side. this is so annoying. I really want the iPhone 6, but for 899 Euros and don't wanna compromise.

I am so glad I found this thread - it has been bugging me wondering if my iPhone 6 plus is a defected unit, but it seems this is a common problem.

A handful of units out of millions of devices sold is not a 'common problem'.

Just because you find other with the same issue on a forum dedicated to troubleshooting iPhone issues doesn't make it a 'common problem', just like going to the hospital and seeing other sick people doesn't suggest there's an epidemic going around the city.

Has anyone tried to use the pentelobe screwdriver to tighten the screen screws by himself?

After using my iPhone 6 for 2 months, the screen is popped out from the top right near the power button, right and left buttoms also click because of a bad drop!

iI'm thinking of getting those screwdrivers from Amazon and tighten it myself, what do you think?

I got mine from DubaI, and living in Amman, where no Apple store or authorized service center exist. That's why I'm thinking of the screwdriver thing. I've sent the Etisalat service center an email, they told that if you notice a screen pop out then your phone should be serviced, but I have no soon-to-come trips to Dubai.

And yes Josh, I feel like Apple just wanted to make a thin iPhone! But couldn't do it at least in a way to avoid those clicks on every corner when the phone gets dropped normally (From pocket level).

I sometimes use the case, yes the clicks goes away, but I like to use my iPhone without cases.

But here's the thing. Attempting to work on your iPhone yourself, will most assuredly void your warranty. That's a risk that's not worth the possible benefit. If I were you, I'd put it in a case until you can return to where you purchased it. Then show it to Apple and it will likely be replaced as a hardware issue.

Your choice of course, but if you self service your device and something more substantial happens, you'd be out of luck for something down the road.

Just saying.........

Do what you want, but if you attempt any service to the device, it voids your warranty.

I live in Finland and had bought the device from here only. We don't have Apple Stores in Finland, but instead have "Authorised Premium Sellers" Tector. I had submitted the phone to them for replacement, but they didn't sent it to apple.

They just repaired it themselves stating that:

"Clicking sound reduced slightly after repair"

its a "feature" and

"problem may occur again".

When I insisted them to send it to Apple and let Apple take a decision. They said that they would discuss the case with Apple only if I agree to pay them Eur 30 for explaining my case incase Apple doesn't cover it under warranty !!

I have taken the phone back from them, but since they have repaired the problem, the clicking sound has reduced a little bit. I called Apple, and they told me to contact the Carrier from whom I purchased the phone.

Not sure what to do now

I have this slight clicking on the top right corner(near camera), i noticed it for the first time in the 1st week of my purchase.

I bought it from a Premium Reseller in India and since we do not have genius bars here in India, I took it to them.

The problem is that the clicking is hard to reproduce, it usually returns during usage, when the phone heats up and takes barely any pressure from the thumb. Sometimes It makes clicks that can be heard from a distance of 3 feets. Sometimes you can just feel it under the thumb and at other times it just vanishes.

At the re seller store, I managed to demonstrate the clicking, but they said that the issue does not seem too big and asked me to submit my phone for 3 days.

They told me that it will take 3 days to take it to service center and check out the issue. On my demand for a replacement, they asked me to go to the nearest service center and ask them for it.

I feel that the quality is really lacking and I expect more from a 1000$ phone. What should I do ?

thanks

On Dec 6th we bought two iPhone 6 (64's) at a local warehouse store. A few days later mine (space gray) started clicking on the bottom left when pushed and there seemed to be a very slight deflection where the glass was separating from the case. I had no idea what was going on, but I ended up taking it back and trading it in for a 128 so I didnt think much on it. The new 128 seems fine now with no issues. A few days ago our second iPhone 6 (64, silver) bought on Dec 6th started doing the same thing, but on the lower right side. This struck me as odd for it to happen to another phone, so I started googling and found this thread. I called Apple Care and explained what was going on - they set up an Apple Store Genius Bar appointment for later that day and arranged for a replacement. Went to the Genius Bar appointment and within 15 minutes walked out with a brand new replacement phone. Very easy process, but it seems to me there must be some defects coming out of one of their factories - and I got two phones at the same time that had the issue. I wish the QC was a little better, Apple should have realized there was a problem and fixed this by now - but at least getting a replacement phone was little to no hassle.

Hi I have an iPhone 6 64GB Silver and found this problem today. I took my case of and tapped the left hand corner and it made a clicking sound. The only thing that could of done this is by taking my case off. If that is the case will I get a new device covered by warranty because on my iPhone 4s I would always take my case off and there was no separation between the screen and the chassis .

Cheers,
