loose screen on the iPhone 6?

Does the top left corner of the iPhone 6 have a slight give when you press on it? Every other corner seems to be solid except for that one corner. I will avoid pressing on it but my concern is that it may become loose in the future.

Hi! Same happening to me (loosing in bottom left corner, next to home button). I bought the iPhone in the US, but I live in Argentina. It can be replaced in any Apple Store of the world? Or just US? Because I'll be staying in Europe in April.

Thank you!

The iPhone does not, and never has had, an international warranty. An Apple Store in Europe may service the device, but you should expect to have to send it to the U.S. for service. Since Apple doesn't accept international shipments from customers, you'll have to arrange your own shipping to a friend or family member or someone you trust, who then will work with Apple for service. Then you'll have to arrange shipping from that person back to you.

Hi guys,

Same happening to me (iPhone 6, Silver, 16GB, model: MG482CN/A.

I've bought this phone on 09th of January 2015. Yesterday I've noticed those popping in left corner, next to volume buttons.

The thing is, that here in Slovakia we do not have official Apple Store, just reselleres. Going there tomorrow, they will send my iPhone to service. Will have to wait 2-30 days, let's see if they will repare the issue, or will send me a new one.

By the way, what is your experience? Have you received a brand new phone with new box, or you've got just phone (refurbished perhaps) without box.

I'm used to switch iPhone every year, therefore I'm wonderig about this, since it might be a bit confusing when I sell a phone with different IMEI on the box.

Nevertheless I'm a bit dissapointed, seems that Apple is focusing more on quantity then quality in past 2 years. Sadly.

Will keep you updated.

I experienced the same issue. Got my first iPhone 6 from the Apple store in Basel about 2 weeks ago. After 2 days the bottom left corner startet to give way just a little bit when pressing, along with some "click" noise. I returned it and got a new one, which after a few days showed a similar problem at the top left corner. I also returned that one and got a new phone from a german retailer. Same problam again, after a few days the top left corner, close to the volume buttons, startet to move just half a milimeter when pressing gently. Very frustrated, I wanted to return that phone today. Luckily I unboxed the "exchange" phone right in the store, because it showed exactly the same problem as my very first one (bottom left corner, but this time with an even loder click). The manager of the store tried to tell me that "all of the iPhone 6s of our staff have that" and basically told me that I am oversensitive. What he wanted me to believe was that this is some sort of "tolerance" to keep the screen moving a little and prevent the glass from scattering due to tension. Yeah right, it's not a bug it's a feature.

I ordered a new phone from Apple just a few minutes ago, and I can't wait to see which corner is loose thsi time. I'm starting to belive this is a general problem with teh new design. 4 phones, bought in 2 different stores in 2 different countries, that's no longer a coincidence to me.

Don't get me wrong, I rally am a big fan of Apple products and proud owner of more thatn one of their devices. But one of the reasons I pay that much money for a phone, is that I want to have a perfect constructed high end phone, which (to me) the new iPhone 6 does not seem te be.

I have had the same problem too. I replaced the phone and the replacement had a click sound. The store manager (Vodafone) pressed it between her fingers and it isn't clicking any more but it can still be pressed down. She showed me her phone, the phone on display and the 2 phones I had. I guess its a defect with all the phones. Will take it in again for replacement if I notice it going worse!

i Have an iphone6 gold and i have this issue But unfortunately i'm in iran and in this **** country we don't have any apple store or warranty so i don't know what should to do...

it's gonig to be crezy me.... Please help me... Please

iPhone warranty is and always has only been available in the country of purchase. Where did you purchase your iPhone 6? That's where it needs to be sent. But you can't send it yourself directly to Apple. Apple does not accept international shipment, nor will they ship internationally. So you need to either go to the country of purchase or send it to a friend or family member who lives in that country for them to take it to an Apple Store for service and/or exchange.

Experiencing the same issue here. Mine happens when tapping on the middle-right area of the screen. It does go away randomly as some of you have stated.

This is the third 6 I'm on and I'm tired of having it replaced for these little issues. I think with this one (luckily it's not a visual defect in the screen like the others I've had) I'm going to wait a month or two and see if it goes away, then take it in and see what they say. Maybe by that point if it's a replacement they'll have a bit better quality control going on.

This is my experience, It maybe a bit boring, but i am sharing my experience over 3 different iphones and over a period of over 4months. I pay attention to even the most minute issues.

Case 1:Original iphone

Issue 1: I purchased an iphone 6 when it was launched and discovered the clicking and popping of screen on the right corner within 2 weeks. It would randomly come and go when the phone temperature changed and I was not much bothered initially

.

Issue 2: I bought an STM cover the day I bought my phone and it was really rigid but i stopped using it because whenever i removed it, it would stress the phone a lot and whichever corner of the lower sides i removed 1st ,would give a click if i pressed it just after removing, but this was a 1 time click, meaning that the screen was not loose and it was just a flexing a bit. The sound was a gentle tick rather than a click or pop and the screen usually stayed in its place. I started using a silicon cover instead.

Finally one day, when i was playing a heavy game, the phone made a tick audible even meters away, i took it to the service centre, and they refused a replacement without attempting a repair, I called the apple india headquarters and they said let them open it and look into the issue. The service guy discovered that the screen was not sitting properly and thus was declared defective. They replaced my phone with a new one that came in a small sealed box.

Case 2:The 1st replacement

The phone looked normal and I could see a speck of dust/debri inside camera, but stuck in a place away from the lens, and was working absoletely fine until one day when the touch stopped responding. It was again replaced. No click no pops for over a month.

Case3:The 2nd replacement

The phone again looked normal, except 2 barely visible, dust particle sized scratch on the apple logo. I use the normal silicon cover and it was fine until last week when I could feel that sometimes the top left depressed. It does not click like the 1st defective iphone but behaves exactly like how the screen would tick when the cover was taken off the 1st iphone. Infact i noticed it once when i removed the silicon cover. Again, its a one time click, if i press it again, nothing happens, no click nor depression. But if i apply lateral stress on the corner, by which i mean pressing the metal rim, rather than the screen(something similar to removing a cover), just a gentle touch, i can recreate the depression. The force required is so less, it happened everytime i remove the silicon cover which barelly needs and force. I usually remove the silicon cover from the top left corner, and it seems repeatitive removal has flexed the metal in this region.

This is not a very big issue, but the fact that it is there annoys me a lot. All this has happened when I never even it bumped it once, i barely even keep it on a table 😝 Wondering what will happen if it drops or if one fine morning i find it under my belly.

Verdict: These phone do lack quality, even though they a premium made, they loose precision since they are really fragile...

I will go to the service centre again and ask the service boy to just adjust the the 2 screws on the bottom and nothing more. These phones are really unpredictable when it comes to reliability unlike the predecessor 5s,

Any suggestions?

Thanks
