Settings app crashes when managing stored Music (iTunes Match)

Since upgrading to iOS8 I haven't been able to see the expandable view you get by heading into Settings > Usage > Manage Storage > Music. As soon as I tap "Music", the settings app crashes.

It's not harware related because it happened on my iPhone 5S and now on my 6.

So far I've tried:

1. Restoring device with iCloud Backup / iTunes Backup

2. Restoring + setting as a new device

3. Restarted phone countless times, closing all the apps in the background, etc

4. Called Apple. The rep just didn't know how to help me.

I've checked on other people's phones with iTunes Match and their phones do not crash like mine. I'm assuming this problem is Apple account related. Any clues?

I bought a 64gb phone to store most of my music using Match, but now I can't manage it. The only hope I have right now is to wait until Apple magically fixes it with an upcoming iOS update.

Does anyone tried new 8.2 beta iOS?

I have changes my iPhone 6 plus to a new one and problem still exists, so i think it is only software problem.

I have updated to iOS 8.1.2. I still have the issue, but it seems to come and go. Frustrating.

I have tried adding music to my iPhone both manually and with the checklists, which seems to make no difference.

Iphone 6+, 64gb.

I was having the same issue. I would launch the ap on my iPhone 6 Plus to manage my music. The list displays by Artist. I could scroll down to an artist with a name beginning with L. Then it would crash every time.

After reading your suggestion, I examined that album back on my pc. There was only one song listed, and it was in AAC lossless format. I really didn't care much for the song, so I deleted it on iTunes (PC), then went back to my iPhone, found the album, and swiped my finger to delete that album. (1 song).

Boom, the problem went away. I can now use the manage my music ap to see my entire library.

Perhaps if you convert your AAC songs to mp3, and re-sync them as suggested earlier on this thread, the problem may go away.

The problem is not fixed, I purchased an IPhone 6 plus last week and the "shut-down" when selecting songs to delete still locks up and then "kicks" me out of that app

The same thing is happening to me.....Settings >General >Usage >Storage/Manage Storage >Music --- as I attempt to "scroll down" through my stored iPhone music, the screen immediately locks up. This happens EVERY time.........I've tried many things and NOTHING has fixed this issue. Have you had any luck? I wonder if Apple is aware they need to find a fix for this frustrating problem.
