iPhone 6 Plus Bluetooth Volume Extremely Low

I purchased an iPhone 6+ and have paired it to my car (Ford) and motorcycle (Harley) but have an issue where the volume turned all the way up to max, you can barely hear when playing music. The sound is normal when email, messages or Siri is used, only music seems to be low. I have tried resetting settings and deleted paring to no avail. This is also happening for my girlfriends 6+ in her vehicle with aftermarket Pioneer stereo.

At first I thought it might have been an iOS 8 issue, but had updated my 5s to iOS 8 when it was released and bluetooth sound worked perfectly the couple days I used it after upgrading. Maybe this has to do with the A2DP Profile on the i6?

Side note: Volume works as designed when plugged in via the USB/Lightning cable.

Are there others having the same issue?

So I had the same issue with all Bluetooth paired devices where the first song would play at normal Volume and the next song would play 50% even at MAX Volume, If I skipped forward on the song the volume would jump to MAX, but playing radio or streaming music online where you can't jump forward I would be stuck in low volume which became annoying, so..... This is what worked for me

Bluetooth ON and "paried" and playing music while doing these steps...

1. Go to Settings

2. Go to Music

3. Scroll down to [PLAYBACK]

4. Click on Volume Limit and slide bar to MAX (all the way to the right)

5. Back out to Music Settings **Notice Volume Limit should show "OFF"

6. Click Sound Check to the OFF position

7. And that's all....

I don't know if this will help you, but it did for me, all these steps I did while playing music over Bluetooth

this was done on a iPhone 6+ iOS 9.0.2

Nothing has worked for us (we have 3 iPhones all doing the same thing). Some of these "workarounds" fix the issue for a short duration, then the symptoms return.

The only thing we have noticed is that sometimes when we get a chat message while music is playing to a bluetooth device, the volume jumps up to normal volume again. Then later, it sadly diminishes to 50% again.

Very frustrating and this is with 3 different iPhones (5, 5c, and 6) using iOS 9 and 9.1 beta.

So it isn't related to a single model or a certain version of the iOS software.

Same issue with my iPhone 6 Plus. It just started today while using bluetooth to listen to music on my Vizio Soundbar. This soundbar can really play loud and I normally have the music at about 1/3 to at most 1/2. Today, at full volume it is at around 25 percent of the normal volume. Switched the soundbar over to my TV and blew my ears out. Now I have some nasty ringing in my ears. Thanks Apple - I might need a doctor and some lawyers - just kidding but really why are you chancing this at all? This needs a fix for your customers safety.

Currently the issue is fixed for me by deleting the pairing and repaired and it is back to normal. Though my ears are ringing - did I thank you for that Apple?

@Apple Support

Is there any statement here from your side?

How can I/we get a real solution to adjust Siri with Bluetooth devices.

I am using an iPhone 6 with a Sena Bluetooth kiti on a Motorbike helmet.

This loud Siri beep that does not seem to be adjustable at all is a nightmare.

It is even dangerous. I nearly felt of my bike when I got that incredibly loud beep when accidentally touching the phone button. No kidding.
