iPhone 6 Plus Bluetooth Volume Extremely Low

I purchased an iPhone 6+ and have paired it to my car (Ford) and motorcycle (Harley) but have an issue where the volume turned all the way up to max, you can barely hear when playing music. The sound is normal when email, messages or Siri is used, only music seems to be low. I have tried resetting settings and deleted paring to no avail. This is also happening for my girlfriends 6+ in her vehicle with aftermarket Pioneer stereo.

At first I thought it might have been an iOS 8 issue, but had updated my 5s to iOS 8 when it was released and bluetooth sound worked perfectly the couple days I used it after upgrading. Maybe this has to do with the A2DP Profile on the i6?

Side note: Volume works as designed when plugged in via the USB/Lightning cable.

Are there others having the same issue?

This worked for me. Only been having the problems on iPhone 6 + since iOS 11. Currently on 11.2 and this fixed the low volume issues.

I don't know how this forum works but it seems other have the same issue as I am having with my 6 plus when connected to any bluetooth speaker the volume is super low. My wife's 7 plus works fine. can you help me fix this?

I'm having the same problem with my iPhone 5s in my Lexus RX. Last week playing iTunes or Spotify over bluetooth the volume was loud around level 15, since updating to iOS 8 I need to turn the volume up to at least 50.

I've also been having this issue with my iPhone 6. When paired with my car (Nissan Rogue), the volume is extremely low. I did not have this problem with the iPhone 5.

Hey, We had the same problem with our Audi A1 & A5 but for some reason this work around worked. We unpaired our iPhone 6 Pluses in the car and on the iPhone then started a song playing through the iPhone speaker, turned the volume to max (on the iPhone) then paired our iPhones throughout the car, not the iPhone. and happy days the low music volume problem was fixed 🙂

Yes, I also tried it last night and it did not work. I also tried the restore all settings plus restore network settings and ended up creating more issues than it solved. I had to do a complete restore back to 8.0.0 and it still doesn't work.

I'm experiencing the same problem on my 4s and a SonyErisson bluetooth headset. Have to set the volume to max to get descent levels.

One more here, having the same issue. The volume through the built-in speaker is actually quite loud (louder than my 5s was for sure), and it's fine through wired headphones, but when I connect to a bluetooth speaker, even at max, it's closer to maybe 50-60% of the volume it was with other devices.

I have the same issue with my I6. However sometimes it will start at a normal level and then drop suddenly. I will unpair from headphones or car and then repair the two and sometimes it fixes the issue and other times it does not. Has anyone heard any fixes to this?

Same problem. On mine, you can control the volume through your iphone as well. The issue is that once it's paired with your car, BOTH the car volume AND the iphone volume control the actual volume. Turn up your volume on your iphone when playing music and you'll see. Apple screwed this up.
