iPhone 6 Plus Bluetooth Volume Extremely Low

I am having the same issue. I believe there is something extremely wrong with Bluetooth on the iPhone 6 (or I have a bad phone). It starts playing at a good volume, then about 1 - 2 songs in, it suddenly goes to half the volume. Only thing that fixes it is to close the music app on the phone and start over. Although it'll do it again. It has nothing to do with the actual bluetooth connection to the device, as they stay connected. I have this issue with my Kenwood unit in the car, and the stereo receiver in the home, and other bluetooth devices I've tried. Never had the issue with my old phone and these devices, or if I hardwire the connection. On a long road trip recently, I'd just have to turn up the sound on the receiver, and then randomly (an hour in) the volume corrects and just about blows out my hearing!

I was hoping there would be a software update to solve this glitch. Come on apple, for a phone that costs this much and is meant to be the greatest - this is terrible!

I have the same issue. iPhone 6 plus on a BMW i3. phone and siri volume is fine, but audible, music, and beats are all super low volume.

Iphone 6 I have the same issue on my jbird earphones and my pioneer car stereo... 😟 Volume will be fine for a minute and then drops low then if I get a call right after the call it will be blasting for a minute then drop again... I cant find a setting that will fix it HELP!

Same issue With my 6. It'll strat out fine then after a few minutes of playing the volume drops significantly. I've found that if you go into settings>Sounds then play with the ringer volume level it'll restore the volume for a while but eventually you'll have to do it again.

I was having the same issue and this fixed my problem. Close all the apps that are running in the background.

I am also having the same issue with my iPhone 6 and 2012 Civic. Apple please fix this so I can play my music in the car.

I also have this issue with my iPhone 6 and 2009 Nissan Skyline (aka Infiniti G37) and also Sony Bluetooth headphones. During a podcast I've found skipping 15 seconds can restore normal volume but then the next podcast is quiet again.

I had no issues with my iPhone 4S and the same car.

Had the same problem with my wife's iPhone 5s but not my 5s using some q acoustic bt3 speakers. Volume was incredibly low but I unpaired them and made the iPhone forget the speakers from its Bluetooth history, played some music full blast through the iPhone speakers, then repaired them with the BT3s and they now work at full volume.

If you guys go into Bluetooth & forget the device & then reconnect to the device u should get full volume back.

I have exactly the same issue with an iPhone 5c on iOS 8.1.3....no resolution as yet.

I experience similar problem but on portable speaker by JBL. It serves as loudspeaker with mic for music and conversation on the go. The problem goes away if i skip the music forward or backward, but re-occurs if i press next song or previous song.

I went to the apple service center with the issue persistent and demonstrated, they asked me to leave the phone for a day but could not diagnose the issue, I might have to go there and recreate the problem again. I'm not sure if I can do that!

The problem usually occurs when there is a notification sound and i quickly slide the switch to silent mode while the sound i still being played. But i'm not sure if i can recreate the problem.

DIscovered a temporary fix, close facebook in background whenever this happens, u can restart it again simultaneously... The issue occurs when system assumes a video being player or paused in the background

I Am having the same issue with my Jeep Grand Cherooke and iPhone 6 plus. Wife's iPhone 5s with older version of iOS works just fine, Apple please fix this issue.

I'm glad I'm not alone. Just bought an iphone 5C (previously had a 4 which worked wonderful playing music in car) and now my volume is so low, even when I max it in the car it's not like it used to be. Doesn't sound as loud or as good. I hope they come up with a fix for this. I see that there is a new update from yesterday the 8.2 I believe so I will try this and hope it works. 😟

Same situation iOS 8.2, Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 plus make the same result on a Bluetooth connection to a sound dock .. Hope we will have something to correct it soon !
