new iPhone 6 and red screen

I today just bought a new iPhone 6 64GB and i wanted to restart it because i wanted to back up all my old messages into my new iPhone. Now its stuck on the apple logo and after a minute or so the screen turns red and goes back to the apple logo. Can some one please help me. Do i have to bring it to a technician or is it something i can fix.

Thanks for the help.

I had same issue with brand new iphone 6 128Gb and brand new ipad mini (which runs a different processors apparently).

After 2 iphone 6 replacement from the apple store (ie 3 phones in all), apple admitted they didnt know what was wrong and had never seen the problem and couldnt fix it and suggested i just take a refund. pretty poor eh. im back on my iphone 5 now. my wife's iphone 6 is fine for some reasons.

So had to return and get refund on iphone 6 and ipad mini 128BG model.

I spent 4 days back and forth at apple store. I restored from iTunes each of the 4 devices several times. I spent hours setting each replacement device up as

- a brand new device,

- or restors from 2 different back ups,

- I even tried restoring the devices from a different mac.

I virus scanned all my devices.

I beleive there must be some unusual glitch with certain itunes libraries and these new devices. I have no specific evidence for that, but what else coudl it have been

i wasted 4 days of my life on these stupid phones.

im quite certain they may fix them up one day with some software update...but for now im back to the pihone 5 which is working perfectly and my okd ipad which is also working perfectly.

My phone crashed this morning, bought it less than a month ago, the blue screen came up first, then I reset the phone, after some use, the red screen came up and I reset the phone as well. I thought everything was fine so I went to bed, phone was charged. I woke up to no alarm because my phone was completely dead, no matter what I try (all methods mentioned) the phone will not turn on, I plugged in to my computer, hard reset method, nothing is working. I do not have applecare, and I need a new phone, I hope apple will either change my phone or get something going here, this is ridiculous!

The best thing to do for this is to just replace the **** thing! Don't bother putting yourself through the stress like I did. Restoring the phone won't help you as I've tried it a million times, and the phone only finished it once without rebooting in the middle of the process. And it still didn't fix it. As bad as having to replace your new phone sounds, it beats having one that doesn't work consistently.

I was using my phone and suddenly my iPhone 6 got red screen. and turn to half black and half red then came back to red. so I push the home bottom and lock bottom, and it was switched from red screen to the Apple Logo. I google that and someone told me to go in to the DUF. I just downloaded the iPhone software and restoring now

update now : My iTunes on my mac say it doent work....

I got that probs as well (red screen) on iphone 6 plus 128gb. Noted it the first time when my email started to behave weirdly (only inbox folder, the others were gone). Suspected that if I reached around 25GB of free space out of the 128GB capacity, something will be corrupt. I reset it and kept it above 30GB of free space and nothing corrupted.

As for the closely related red screen, I found that waiting for some time to turn on the phone after turning off your phone is really helpful. I am talking about 1-2 minutes, not several seconds. I managed to go through without seeing that red screen for weeks now.

My friend brought me his 6 with this issue. It's a simple fix, but hopefully you have backed your phone up recently, as we will be restoring your phone.

1. Hold the home button and plug your device into the computer and continue holding the home button until prompted with a message in iTunes. (should be running the newest version of iTunes btw)

2. You will be asked to either update or restore your device, you may do either, but if you restore, make sure you have a back up on your computer or your contacts and photos and stuff of that sort on your iCloud.

3. Let this process finish and, depending on what you chose to do, you will either be setting up your device as a new device, or running the newest firmware for your device.
