I today just bought a new iPhone 6 64GB and i wanted to restart it because i wanted to back up all my old messages into my new iPhone. Now its stuck on the apple logo and after a minute or so the screen turns red and goes back to the apple logo. Can some one please help me. Do i have to bring it to a technician or is it something i can fix.

Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer. Enter DFU mode:
Connect your iPhone to your computer
Turn off your device
Next, hold down the sleep / wake button and the Home button for 10 seconds
Release the power button and hold the main screen button for 10-15 seconds
The screen on the iPhone will turn black and the device will enter DFU mode
Your computer will see the following message in iTunes: "iTunes has detected that iPhone is in recovery mode and you must first restore it with iTunes."
Click OK
Next, click Restore iPhone
Click Restore and Update
Connect your device to your computer and let iTunes restore your iPhone
After you do this, follow the on-screen steps to set the iPhone as a new device.

This happened to me as well. The first appointment I could get at the apple store is tomorrow night.
What I did was do a hard reset. I plugged it into to my computer and held the sleep and home down together until I saw the plug into to iTunes. But if that doesn't work then I would take it in.

I had the same problem. I restarted the phone multiple times and restored it to factory settings twice. It still had problems and would shut down for no reason. I got the blue screen and the red screen. I finally took it to the Apple Store and a genius told me it was a hardware problem and replaced the phone.
Same thing has just happened to my new iPhone 6. Red screen of doom, and demands for a factory reset.
Same thing here. Just after I realised it does not connect with the car bluetooth and the last week I have spent nursing my 5s as it ate the whole battery in 4 hours
Found a post from a few months back from a tech that said that he repaired a 5s that had the same issue: the phone would boot loop to the apple logo and red screen. I called apple support and had the issue resolved in about 40 mins. It took some time to get it to go into restore mode but we did it and there has been no issue since. I am very happy with my phone despite a few frustrations - early adopter syndrome! I have been round this loop with every new tech I have adopted. Maybe a more public Beta of iOS would help.

I had the same problems (extinctions, restarts, red screens, problems of connection) from the first use on September 19th.
After complete restoration, the iPhone worked with no problem at all during 3 days but this morning it again restarted twice...
I pre ordered my iphone 6 64GB and i got it on the 19th. Now, everything was working fine until they released IOS 8.0.2 and i decided to upgrade. The first few hours after the upgrade everything was working fine! then everything started to freeze a lot and i mean a lot! like i had to restart the iPhone so many times because it would get stuck every where (specially when i wanted to unlock and put the pascode) then after that another problem i kept having was like a blue screen that would pop up randomly every 5 minutes! like literately every 5 min, specially when i was trying to listen to music, unlock my device, or just text someone or even just by trying to bring up the keyboard. But that wasnt all, then it got worst! instead of a blue screen i kept getting red screens and they would just appear every single 1 min with no stopping and then the iphone restarts automatically and it just kept and kept going on non stop! thats when i decided to reset everything from the iphone itself, so i resetted my iphone hoping everything would work fine, but it didn't, same problems! At that time i was ready to just go to the apple store and complain because i need my phone for work and i am basically phoneless i cant even call people because it just crashes within seconds now! like wow apple has messed everything up! So my last try was restoring trough iTunes. It crashed right in the middle of the restore process. Now i have a useless iphone! because it is stuck in the "connect to itunes" part. And every time i want to restore it it crashes in the middle of the process so its impossible to restore the phone! please help! Should i take it to apple? will i get a replacement?
I had exactly the same problem: the first restore process failed but I've tried again and then it works.
Since I just have 2 restart.
