iphone 6 - wifi issues - searching networks

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing issues working with my brand new iPhone 6.

While the speed is normal, the connection seems to be not reestablished after waking the device up from the "display off"-mode.

Wondering why the connection has been removed I'm trying to fix that by opening Wifi Seetings, where the status of the wifi remains "searching".

Then I have two possibilities:

- Restarting the device, which brings back the connectivity immediately

- Waiting for 10+ minutes, which enables me to find wifi networks again

For normal I'm using a 5ghz connection.

Trying to switch the wifi connection off and on again doesn't work for me.

Cheers,

Matthias

I have the same issue. Thought it was the hardware so took my device back to EE, they swapped the handset over and the same thing happened. After a device reset the iwork apps were no longer installed and this seemed to have improved performance but sadly the wifi issues you are experiencing have returned on my new device. I suspect this is a hardware issue. I have a work 4S, have updated it to IOS8 but never lose connection to wifi.

I had the same problem with my wife's iPhone6 Plus 128GB. I tried all the troubleshooting from various forums but what worked for me was updating the firmware on my wireless router. If you haven't updated your wireless router firmware since you bought it I would suggest that you would try this first. I was just about to go by a 5GHz router when I tried this option and it's worked out great for me so far.

Good luck

I have a similar problem. My 64gb iPhone 6 drops my 2.4ghz wifi connection and connects to the 5ghz wifi connection. My phone then can't find the 2.4 network until I do a phone shutdown and restart.

My router is a Verizon Fios quantum router with dual band. Verizon says it's not their router.

I prefer the 2.4 signal because it has a much better range.

Providing a quick update to my 2.4 ghz connection issue. I've also noticed that when my phone can't find the 2.4 signal it also won't connect to bluetooth devices in my car and house.

With this thought when I woke up this morning my phone was disconnected from the 2.4 signal and couldn't find the network name when I opened the wifi controls under settings, so I decided to toggle the Bluetooth from ON to OFF and back ON and my phone immediately found the the 2.4 wifi network, pretty strange, it's worked once so far and I hope it is a quicker solution to shutting the phone down completely if the bluetooth solution keeps working.

I also updated to iOS 9.3 yesterday afternoon and still had the 2.4 connection problem this morning
