"could not scan for wireless networks" iphone6 or iOS 8?

new iPhone 6 with iOS 8. Wifi works fine for a few hours and then drops. The wifi connect screen sits there spinning and if I attempt a manual connecation I get the message:

"could not scan for wireless networks"

Only solution so far has been rebooting.

No issues with older devices and iOS 8. Just the iPhone 6.

As this issue seems to come out every time Apple release new hardware I am hoping it's just a bug that will be squashed and as such wanted to bring it up on the forums. Will also report to support.

No, I am not kidding you. Your iPhone cannot be fixed here in the user to user forum. Apple is not here either so... ?

FWIW, my iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and my new iPhone 6 all have IOS 8 running and I can connect to all the places I want to connect to.

According to you then I must be lucky. Lucky me.

Oh I forgot to tell you that my iPad 3rd generation with IOS 8 also connects without any issue. Lucky me again.

Check out http://osxdaily.com/2014/09/22/ios-8-wi-fi-problems-fix/ it fixed my iPhone 6 Wi Fi/ Bluetooth connectivity problems. All my other devices are working fine so it must be within the iPhone 6.

Yes, I'm getting this too - faulty Iphone or poor I0S 8n I don't know. 64gb Gold on Ios8 still as I didn't update after I heard about the sufi issues on 8.0.2. It's not just in my house ; in coffee shops or other houses it sometimes does it - previously connected fine, then drops and can't find the router even when sitting right by it - and only will come back after I reboot the phone. Rebooting router makes no difference. It's also really slow to pick up wireless network at all - anywhere! and yes, I have done the usual things - reset networks, restored as a new phone, restored from a back up etc etc.

Received my iPhone Plus this week, having the same problem intermittently on work wi-fi. Can access wi-fi on my iPhone 4s and other devices, just not that one. New router/equipment from Time Warner. Cannot access ANY networks. Hopefully today's update to iOS will solve the problem. Good luck OP!

Just received this error on an iPhone 5s running iOS 10.0.2

I have had constant connectivity issues since I upgraded to 10. Combined with the changes to the UI in various apps that actually bring the usability down, I am really disappointed in 10 and wish I hadn't upgraded.
