Turning off Bluetooth speaker, triggers iTunes App to open

Whenever powering off my Bose Soundlink Mini speaker (from the speaker itself), it will trigger iTunes to automatically open. Is there a fix for this? Has anyone else had this issue? I tried a suggested solution from online by doing the following: but unfortunately, it also renders the iTunes app useless, and disables it completely. Is this a bug, or is there a preference somewhere to stop this behavior?

Show package contents on iTunes.app. Inside the MacOS folder there is a unix script called iTunes, I renamed it iTunesclosed. Also renamed ituneshelper.app to ituneshelpdisabled.app

Further Information:

Running OSX 10.95

rMBP (late 2013)

iTunes 11.4

Same problem. Still not fixed. My A/C runs loud at night, so I use Bose Bluetooth SoundLink Mini next to my bed to play music from my Mac. I fall asleep, the album in iTunes ends, and eventually the SoundLink Mini will auto-shut off during the night. As soon as that happens, it triggers my iTunes to automatically start cranking out the same album I was listening to when I was going to sleep. But now it's 4 in the morning and it's coming out of my Mac speakers. I'm jolted awake! This needs a fix.

And 87 people who have indicated they have this problem since 2014.

I'm sure there are hundreds of others too.

Do we just need to keep the conversation active, or get a certain number of replies in order for Apple to help?

The "genius" at the "genius" bar is useless by the way. Please fix this Apple. Insanely basic request.

Is that all?

How'd you get 87 people with problems out of 42 replies? 2 people in each reply with a problem?

Please fix this Apple. Insanely basic request.

In case you missed it...
