iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

What did you exactly say to them Kojira? I am about to contact them myself after already being told it's "Cosmetic Damages". Well fine scratches like these don't occur after one week of owning the phone.

Just so you all know, I have also sent Tim Cook an email, cc'ed a few other key people and support on it. I haven't heard anything back yet but with my 14 day return/exchange ending tomorrow I need to do something and do it quick.

Go to your Apple Store TODAY. Do not wait. You are within your rights to return the phone and then repurchase it. If they give you a new phone, slap a screen protector on it immediately.

Just got off with Apple Support Chat. After chatting with AJ a Senior Rep for about an hour, he set me up with an appointment for a one-time replacement at an Apple Store near me.

I had also mentioned this thread and made it aware to him that I am not the only one with this problem. He said, "Yes, I just seen those reports." I think Apple is starting to see this as an issue . So if you have this problem your best bet is to contact Apple via their online support chat. They are very helpful and should be able to replace your phone for you.

Me too! I've owned every single iPhone since the 3GS and none of them have scratched as easily as my iPhone 6. All I've done is put my iPhone 6 into my pocket with nothing else. My almost 2 year old son finally got hold of my iPhone 6 and dropped it on my hardwood floor. Now there are scratches all over the screen, FROM HARDWOOD! They're faint, but visible at an angle. This weakens the glass and makes it prone to cracking if it's ever dropped again. I've ordered a glass screen protector from eBay, but I'm very annoyed by this.

I've NEVER used a screen protector on any of my iPhones and now Apple has made a phone that cannot be used without a case/screen-protector because of the bending on the iPhone 6+ and scratches, likely in both. Maybe this is their move to their own in-house "ion strengthened glass" from Gorilla glass -- a cheap out where we all suffer.

I wish Apple would stop moving in the direction where one needs to invest a small fortune in accessories to safely use the phone.

I used a tempered glass on my iPhone 6 and a cheapish transparent clear case for the whole phone. Before the tempered glass arrived, I used two ordinary screen protectors (put it on top of the other) just to give it more protection. The moment the tempered glass arrived in the post, used it immediately. I've had the phone for 10 days now and so far, it's scratch free. And being female, I put my phone in my bag's mobile pocket with some loose change inside and still no scratches. Tempered glass screen protectors are cheap online.

Spoke to Apple on the October 12 about my wife's 2 day old IPhone 6. Scratched screen in 3 places; an experience totally different than her 2 year old IPhone 5. Basically told me to go pound sand. Bought screen protector after return from out of town trip. Reading the reviews on this string it is very depressing that something has obviously changed - drastically so. After seeing the scratches my 2 teenage girls went out today and traded their IPhone 5S for Androids. I'm letting everyone I know of this problem and praying that Apple will wake up...

Same **** thing here. I ordered my iPhone 6 on the first day, have been babying the thing, don't wear anything on my pocket other than the phone, payed full price for it US $800+, and today I noticed a long scratch on the screen. I'm going to an Apple store tonight, but have a feeling they'll give me the same bs about cosmetic damage. I owned an iPhone 5 for 2 years and had no scratches on the screen at all, but less than a month with this new phone and already a long scratch is simply unacceptable.

Everyone that is experiencing this problem please go back and read my original posts.

I just got a brand new iPhone 6 yesterday after talking with a Rep from Apple Support Chat the day before. If you go to the store they more than likely will tell you that it is cosmetic damages and to buzz off. Your best bet is to contact them via Chat on their website. Apple needs to know this is a problem and for some reason that is the only way to get through to them. Going to the store is a road block, I tried it and came up with the same result as pretty much everyone else on here. Until I started noticing people on here having luck through chat.

Try Apple Support Chat before going into the store. The more we can make them aware of this issue the more they will realize they need to do something about it.

I personally find mostly all of your comments not in anyway helpful or relevant to this topic. Also very defensive for Apple. Your phone doesn't have this specific issue so I am unsure why you have been posting on here since Oct. 3rd. You tell one user: "What you've written could certainly be what's happening to some phones and not others. Only an expert in coatings would really be able to evaluate your theory"; yet you go on about the glass in ways only an expert in the corning gorilla glass should. You do not have this issue and some posts seem like you are on here to brag about being scratch-free. These people have paid good money and deserve an answer or refund because this is a real issue and it is almost unbelievable how easily the screen will scratch on an affected device. Also I believe there are better threads to post about screen protectors and phone cases as they are not referred to in the title of this post

Now onto the real reason for this post (and why I am on this page), I have the same issue and thanks to some of the helpful people on this thread I will be contacting Apple support in hopes of a new phone.

Don't bother sending me an angry response as my time on this page is over as yours should have been long ago
