iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

I got my 6plus on Monday 9/29 and was VERY careful with it. I didn't throw it in my purse, pocket, etc. I went to the Apple store on Tuesday and got their screen protector and went to put it on last night. That is when I discovered a lot of little scratches. Most of them are by the home button and at the top edge of the phone. I have never had a phone scratch so easily and without me even knowing how it happened!! After reading everyone's posts I am thankful that the scratches are only on the edges. I have the protective film on now so hopefully the screen is safe. Note: this "Power Support Anti-Glare Film" does NOT go to the very edge of the screen. I am sure that is because the screen has rounded edges and the film can't round down to cover these edges. My case comes tomorrow and I hope it covers the unprotected edges because otherwise it is going to get really bad!!

My initial iPhone 6 space grey has hairline scratches all over the display, and like you - I am very careful with my devices. This is the 2nd iPhone 6 i have had as they replaced my first one for the same reason! Going into an Apple store tomorrow and exchanging my iPhone for a Silver or Gold model if they have it. I've noticed the white faceplate does not show scratches nearly as much.

AFacer having my iphone 6 for 8 days I notied what I thought was a smudge. It ended up be three light scratches. I am like the other users where my previous iPhones screens are still immaculate. Not a singe scratch. Like all the other users my phone is solo in my pocket with the screen facing my leg as to not allow incidential contact. This is a HUGE dissapointment in the iPhone 6 build quality I have the 6 Pluse in order but now concdieting canceling the Oder do to the fragility of the screen. Apple please respond To this concern. Please don't tell me I paid $750 for less than durable screen.

Not to jump on the me too bandwagon, but ME TOO!

I placed a film screen protector on my 6 and when I went to put on a glass protector there were three fine scratches on the surface. They're barely perceptable, but I'm shocked they're there!

The glass is definitely softer than the 5 and 5s I had before.

QC seems to have gone down quite a bit. Thus far, I've had to return a couple 6 and 6+ for:

- Dust under glass.

- Scratches.

- Dead pixel.

- Glass separating from body! (clicking sound when pressing on the glass)

So it looks like this thread is growing. I went into the Apple Store today to tell them about my problem. This was my second iPhone 6 in grey, the first one was replaced for these hairline scratches. My second phone was getting scuff like scratches on the corners. Again, never did this happen to my iPhone 5/5s or any previous iPhone models.

The Genius Bar replaced my phone, however told me that it seemed like I was having trouble keeping my phone scratch free because none of the employees there had experienced this issue with their phone. So on my 3rd iPhone 6, this time I have tempered glass on the screen. Seems like quality control and built quality on the iPhone 6 is subpar when compared to prior models. A little fed up to be honest.

Yes they did. I spent a good amount of money on this phone. This shouldn't be happening.

I told them them exactly what was happening and basically what I said in the previous post that I've never had this happen to any of my iPhones in the past. They were definitely reluctant to do it the second time but then I told them "ok I would like to return the phone then and get a refund since it is still in the 14 days" (which was actually my initial plan going in there, and I would just switch back to my 5s) but then they offered to exchange it when I told them I would like to return it. So I mean great customer support from Apple, they always want to make their customers happy.

On a separate note though, I don't feel as mugh quality put into the iPhone 6 as I have with previous Apple devices. As some of you mentioned, I think they went cheap with some of the materials, which is very un-Apple like. It *****, but for the first time in about a decade I am disappointed with my Apple product. Sad day for me because I am quite the Apple enthusiast.

Ok I've owned iPhones since the first iPhone and have never had so many scratches on any of my phones until now.

I have had the iPhone 6 plus for just over a week and there are several large scratches on the glass.

the phone is always in my pocket with nothing else there.

And for anyone who replays why did you not get a case or screen protector I think you will find Apple has always recommended NOT to use screen covers.

as they diminish the screen quality.

Also no shops in the U.K don't seem to have any extras for these new phone.

Yeah this is without a doubt a problem. I take impeccable care of my iPhone 6+ as I have always done with every iPhone i have had. Here we are just 2 weeks from release and i have 3 scratches on my screen. Never on my iphone 4, 5 and 5s did i get any scratches. Apple better get their chit together. This phone was $1,000.00 bucks!!! Ill be ****** if they think im gonna buy a watch.
