iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just chiming in with another scratched iPhone (6 plus). After owning a 4s and not having a single scratch on it, I didn't feel the need to put a screen protector on my new phone. My previous experience with all of these sorts of devices is that the screen protectors are usually 10x more likely to scratch than the screen itself; so it's akin to putting plastic on your furniture- you have your protection but at the cost of a degraded user experience. The scratches I have are numerous (too many for an exact count but on the order of 20-30), but they are quite shallow. I noticed that when I applied a screen protector on top of them (I know- closing the barn door afterwards), the scratches pretty much disappeared. My guess is that the adhesive filled up the scratches. That said, I'm still deciding if I should just go sans protector because the scratches are pretty hard to see in any sort of normal use. Or if I should put one on to avoid even bigger scratches.

Wrong, and if you'd taken the time to read this thread you would know so. My screen scratched within a few minutes before it had been put in any pocket or case.

I've been on this thread since the very beginning, so yes, I've read just about every single post. I'm sorry, but most people do keep their phones in their pockets.

And I disagree with you. It doesn't take much common sense to realise it is nothing to do with not having a problem, rather being accused of lying/ trolling.

Don't put words in my mouth that were never there. I have never accused anyone of lying or trolling in this thread. I do feel badly for anyone who is getting scratches in their beautiful new iPhone. I'd be upset if I did. I'm just not getting any.

I see you edited your response. So let me add what you deleted......."I returned my phone within the 14 day period so what possible reason would I have to troll Apple?"

So, let me get this right. You don't own an iPhone 6, yet you're still on this thread and you wonder who's really trolling? Simply amazing.

I aren't allowed to edit my responses? Who are you to dictate such a thing? And sadly whilst trying to be clever you just lost the debate. Yes I returned my iPhone within the returns period but I decided it bore no relevance to the discussion so deleted it. What's important is the very thing you are trying to smokescreen. The fact that you DID accuse people of Insincerity by LYING about their reason for posting here just as you have me. So rather than learn from your mistakes you continue to make them, showing yourself to be a rude and conceited individual. If I was "trolling for Apple concurrents" I can assure you I would not waste my time buying a phone, speaking to an Apple representative about the issues, then pointing her in the direction of this thread, and then return it. If you will leave your cloud of paranoia for a moment you will see the reason I am partaking in this thread at all, is because I love the iPhone 6 and as soon as this issue is resolved will be buying another. I already mentioned that more than once so by saying "I've been on this thread since the very beginning" it would seem you are the liar, and a hypocrite to boot.

Of course you're allowed to edit your post. But even you recognized that saying you no longer even own an iPhone would make you look bad. Believe what you want to believe. I've NEVER accused anyone of lying. Feel free to show any posts in this thread where I accused anyone of lying. I'm sorry for anyone who has a scratched screen. And you are a troll who has now taken hurling insults to a new level. No need to write me back. I won't waste another second of my time with a troll like you.

First you berate me for editing my posts and then instruct me not to write back. Just amazing ; ) If defending myself against your accusations of lying is being a troll then so be it. More likely the truth hurts. You are right about one thing though, your smokescreen has thrown this debate off topic for long enough so without further ado let's focus on the point in question. To monitor the scratching screen issue so we can make what is a beautiful device even better.

I do notice some strange behavior on your side, and I guess I'm not the only one :

  • You have apparently returned your device, so what are you still doing here ?
  • It seems that you spend hours here answering on real-time
  • I also noticed that you have created your Apple Support account a few days ago only to write about that "Scratch issue". (like many others here)

Oh fyi, still no scratches on my side.

So you also lied about not responding to me. When that failed to quieten me you hatched another plan to try humiliate me. When I tried to get this thread back on topic you throw in the next wave of smoke bombs.. I'm one step ahead of you and your efforts to smear me buddy.

"I do notice some strange behavior on your side, and I guess I'm not the only one"

Trying to psych me out with apparent co-conspirators hiding in the wings reporting back on my activities just makes you look like you are clutching at straws.

"You have apparently returned your device, so what are you still doing here ?"

Didn't I just explain that?

"It seems that you spend hours here answering on real-time"

I work in IT often on helpdesk and have the priviledge of being able to surf the net in quieter times. It's really not that hard to leave a page open and click refresh now and again. Also couldn't the same be said about you lol? Once more the hypocrite!

"I also noticed that you have created your Apple Support account a few days ago only to write about that "Scratch issue". (like many others here)"

Again you trip yourself up! Did you not see I already posted that this was my first Apple device, and come to mention it I already posted that I returned it within the 14 day return period a couple of pages back. And once again you plead that you are not on here accusing others of lying and yet there you go again accusing not only me but others of creating accounts simply to bad-mouth the iPhone 6! I'm starting to think more and more you are an Apple employee.
