iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?
Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

EddieSmith and rbrylawski, the rest of us don't care anymore!
Can we just talk about scratches please?
Well said and agreed.
I've had the same problem.
For the first time ever, I decided to go "naked" on my 6+ and just a few weeks using it, I've found 2 tiny scratches on my screen. One is on top, very close to the front camera, in the curved part, the other is in the lower part, close to the Home button, very thin.
I'm pretty sure that both scratches were made by the rivets on my Jeans front pocket. Since the 6+ is a big phone, it's a bit hard to slip it in the tight pocket, What I'm doing now? I still put the phone on the front pocket, but now with the screen up, at least until I don't stick a Bestskin on it.
Really disapointed.
At least you know how yours got there mine I am still baffled about the phone has never seen the inside of a pocket never been wiped down with a cloth and never dropped in fact my phone from a sealed Apple box right to a case and screen protector after it was verified that it had no scratches out of the box yet there is a scratch right underneath the case so go figure??
Mine is scratching up badly and it's frustrating as I'm really careful. My wife on the other had throws her iPhone 5 (which she has had for 2 years) in her bag with keys, coins etc and doesn't have a mark on it. She also lets the kids use it. My iPhone 6 barely a month old and wrapped inc cotton wool must have at least 10 tiny scratches and two larger ones on it.
Could the folks who posted recently about having scratches also post the build date of their phone? Some of us are trying to figure out if the problems are with phones manufactured earlier than now. Someone earlier reported problems with a phone manufactured in mid-September. The serial number contains info about the phone model, its production year/week and the factory where it was made. Here is a site where you can find the info. Just plug in the serial number. The link is from the MacRumors board. http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.htmlhttp://

In addition to the scratches I am having problems with the shifting Facetime camera as well. This issue also seems to be a Space Grey issue. I recommend everyone chatting with Apple to document the issue and to also send feedback to Apple about these issues here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/
The people I chatted with said they have never heard of these issues. We need to make sure Apple is well aware of these faults in the phones.
Thanks for trying to compile this information. Here is what I got:

I feel your pain. This is so disappointing.
Same here. My iPhone 5, with no protector, never scratched in 2+ years of heavy use near my keys in pockets etc... 2 weeks into iPhone 6+ I have a small scratch in the middle of the screen. Very disappointing. Wish they used the Sapphire they talked about - takes a diamond to scratch that.
I HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES!!!!!!
I RETURNED IT AND I GOT A GOLD IPHONE 6 PLUS AND SO FAR I HAVENT NOTICED ANY SCRATCHES LIKE ON MY SPACE GRAY IPHONE 6 PLUS

Be grateful they didn't use Sapphire. Sapphire may be harder to scratch, but it is so much more brittle and easier to shatter. Instead of a 37 page thread on scratches, we'd have a much larger thread of people more upset with their shattered screens.
Same situation with me.
Took my space gray Iphone 6 to the Apple store and explained the excessive scratches. The employee at the genius bar, in his own way, accused me of scratching it up. Um, duh, yeah, I scratched it up cuz this phone scratches when the wind blows on it. I asked for the manager and explained to him that there is a growing thread on the Apple forums about this issue. He says -- verbatim -- "We don't replace phones based on forums." Totally ignoring the freakin' point.
I was pretty disappointed.
Called Apple Care and they suggested i try another store because it is the call of the manager. So i did. Found another local store and this time the manager was much more receptive. I'm not sure if there were notes about my phone or not but he offered to change the screen and then later offered to replace it. I got another space gray phone and I'm hoping this doesn't happen again.
Both managers said they've not heard anything from Apple about these phones scratching easily. That said, even if Apple knows about this, it is in their interests to keep it under the lid. I just wish the manager as well as the employee at the genius bar viewed my situation with genuine concern as opposed to viewing me as someone trying to pull a fast one on them. That really ****** me off.
Thanks for posting. I submitted the following just now - unfortunately hit the character limit:
---------------------------------------------------------
Had iphone4 for 3+ yrs. Would carry it in my pocket without any external screen protection. NEVER any visible scratches/scuffs on the surface.
Not with iphone6. Have had two Space Gray iphone6 (both built at plant F1 in week 37 and 38) and each of them gets visible scuffs and scratches on the screen simply from putting them in a clean empty pocket.
Now I have to put this elegant, thin phone into a wallet-style case to protect the screen from basic NORMAL usage. With the case, the phone is far thicker than even an iphone4. Steve Jobs would be livid to see this happen to an Apple design.
Since this is apparently not an issue with Silver/White phones, Apple should acknowledge a manufacturing defect in the coating on these earlier Space Gray iphone6 phones and replace them with new.
