iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?
Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?
iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8

I'm soOOOOO Heart broken with my iPhone 6plus grey.
Sad to say...Less than 3 weeks i found many many fine hairline scratches all over the screen.
I believed it do not need any screen protector for a scratch resistant glass.
Both the service centre in Singapore and the phone hot line said it cosmetic issue and not cover by warranty.
No replacement can be done as it no hardware failure.
All i can say it a expensive "hand"phone which must ONLY be handle by "hand" all times.
Once the phone in your empty pocket it will scratch and scratches!
Is it normal for a scratch resistant glass to scratch so easily without any direct hard impact?
Their answer is simple.. "Cosmetic do not cover in their warranty."
Well done apple..
I'm sad i purchased this iPhone 6 plus without making sure the screen won't get scratch in empty pockets.
I felt cheated.
Is a screen protector really needed for a scratch-resistant glass phone to able place in empty pockets with scratches?
What else can I do now?
I'm lost!
Your not the only one but sadly even in hand that is not enough to save the phone as I said in some of my earlier posts my phone has never seen the inside of a pocket and it still ended up with scratches
I have a Theory but wanted to give everyone background on my iPhone Scratch In-pocket Story (ISIS).
This is a sad situation for all of us that usually go around singing iPhone's praises because they just understand us and deliver a durable phone that can withstand being used. My scratches showed up with the first week. I called Apple Support and had to ask for a supervisor because the person I had on the phone was in denial. My iPhone 6 Plus was replacing a scratch-free iPhone 5 that I owned for more than two years. The Apple Supervisor noticed I just received the phone and Apple has a no questions asked for returns within 14 days of purchase and Verizon also extends that to me as well. I called Verizon and explained Apple authorized return for glass issue. I got to keep my original phone for several weeks because my phone was on back order.
Theory
I had two scratches within days of using my iPhone 6 Plus Silver 128GB approx. $1000 USD. But, none since then. Then I began to think if I handled this phone differently from the time I noticed the scratches and now and I have not. So my theory is the oleophobic coating needs to cure. It comes with a wrap around the phone stuck to the front and back of the phone. I can imagine the factories boxing these phones up just as soon as they are assembled. Then shipped by the thousands to a retailer. You remove the plastic film, set your phone up and put it in your pocket less than the cure time needed. I unwrapped my replacement phone and it has been sitting out for three days. I will keep you posted of my finding. Tim
.
So sad..
Only option is to pay $129 to replace screen or else see a world of more "Hairs".
Cosmetic will totally not be covered.
Anyone can share when the last time there's a event of it replaced?
JT it's a good theory, but I checked the build date of my iPhone and it was 3 weeks prior to when the scratch appeared. So unless it takes more than 3 weeks to harden I don't see how it can be down to that. As the problem only seems to affect some phones my guess is that either some people just aren't noticing the scratches as they are most visible in certain light conditions, or as others have said (more likely) the oleophobic coating is not being applied correctly on some batches. I want to order another but can't risk a lottery, especially when there is no guarantee, as kamenrider_chua said, of a replacement outside the 14 day return period.
Forgive my ignorance but how do I find out the build date on the iPhone 6?

Actually it's this link to get info on your phone's manufacture date, etc.: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html
I think there would still be some risk of the screen scratched in pocket even thou replaced if the causes of it not improved.
To spend $129 to replaced this "Cosmetic" problems which "I" created i don't mind. (Since already spend so much on the phone)
But if to spend $129 for "Others" fault i really deeply, sincerely and angrily do not agreed.
There's still be risks of "unknown" hairline scratches appearing thou mine is in emptied pockets whereas some mentioned even on table surface.
I love everything but not the "Hairs" on the screen..
I'm Lost.. Invested apps on IOS and switch to Android is Silly.
Unable to refund as it 3 weeks and trade it off for iPhone 5S is also Silly..
I'm Silly.
Just to share haha
I also take very very good care of my iPhone 6 and I have the same issues. I never have anything but my iPhone in my Jeans pocket and it scratches anyway. There are no metal things nearby, no sand in the pocket, nothing.
I dont't want to imagine how the iPhone 6 will look after two years of use...I guess I will find out anyway. I did not have these issues with my iPhone 4S, which is kind of odd (planned obsolescence?).
Same here. I've gotten scratches in past iPhones (2G, 3G, 4, 5, 5S) but they've always been from fairly obvious causes. However, my 6 has a lot of fine scratches in the display that seem to be from simply moving around in my pocket, or wiping the screen off - probably fine particles that get on the screen and then rub around. I keep it in a case that has a lip around the screen, and I don't place it face down on things anyway.
This is a bit annoying to have happen with the "latest and greatest" glass after the previous ones didn't seem as bad.
Of course, I also have an unsightly grey ring visible (and sometimes shifting) under the glass for the front camera that some others have mentioned, so maybe the phone will get swapped sometime due to defects.
