I'm visiting the Apple Store in Amsterdam tomorrow. Made an appointment with a Genius to discuss my problem. I'll keep you posted.

Great customer service from apple store London... exchanged my scratched 6 plus (pretty much no questions asked) very swiftly (it was within 2 weeks of purchase).

Didn't need to make genius appointment either, just spoke to one of the store reps who did the swap

You can return an Apple product for ANY reason with 14 days of purchase.

I have a 5c for work and I am very very hard on it and it doesn't have a screen protector and the screen is flawless. I had my 6 for only a week or two and noticed one day that there was a deep gouge in the screen, at first I thought it was dirt because surely it wouldn't have scratched because I don't even put my phone in the same pocket as my keys. I have no clue what could have scratched it.

On a side note a few years ago when lifeproof released their case I had one fail on me while I was a the pool. I had squaretrade insurance and was going to use them to cover the damage. I went to Apple store fully expecting to have to pay for a replacement but the worker there thanked me for being honest in what happened and went ahead and replaced it at no charge.

Now fast forward today, my wife just texted me and said she dropped her 6+ which had a ZAGG Glass screen protector and a Thule case and the screen protector broke and so did the iPhone 6+ screen. Doubt Apple would be so generous this time around.

That is scary considering that I have both 6 & 6+.

Email Zagg... They might do something about it.

According to a good source the "iPhone 6S is tipped for a spring 2015 release". Such speed hints at the fact Apple might be aware of the screen problem afterall. Of course it's all hearsay but whatever the reason IF the rumours are true it bodes well, and hopefully the scratches will be a thing of the past.

Went to the Apple Store and had to let it come down to a manager. After rubbing the screen several times he admitted an issue under the screen. I got my iPhone replaced under warranty :-). If you are convinced it is impossible you scratched it yourself, don't give up, but ask for a manager.

Same problem here. I bought it on the second day it released, 64GB white. Got a scratch which you can see when it light on after two weeks I used it. I used my iPhone 5 for 2 years never had a problem. So disappointed.

I emailed ZAGG so far no response. I'm wondering what they would say at the Apple store if I show them the broken screen protector and the phone screen as well as it being in a case if there is anyway they would think it was a defect or still user damage.

Unfortunately, it would fall under user damage since the phone was dropped.

I have to chime in because I have a space gray 64gb 6+ with tons of tiny scratches all over the screen and today I noticed a weird smudge on the screen. It looks like grease was sitting on this spot on my screen...It's hard to describe. I don't know what it is, but I am taking it to the Apple store, and I really hope they don't give me the run around. This weird smudge was also on my home button for about a week or two then disappeared. I definitely think Apple dropped the ball in the development of these phone. I hope they don't think this ugly smudge is cosmetic damage. I think it's a problem with the screen or something under it. We'll see.
