iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

Not really I have never paid for a replacement. The fee's are for physical damage but if the device is acting up in any way without physical damage they replace it free.

I've never had to replace a device (except an iPhone 5 which was stolen) as I've never had a defective device.

What's the point of getting a new phone, if there's absolutely nothing wrong with the one you have? The replacement, which would likely be a refurbished device, could come with issues. There's an old saying........."if it's not broken, don't fix it!"

To get a new screen because this one apparently scratches easy

Again, mine doesn't have a single scratch on it. So, I'm still not sure how easy it is to scratch one.

That's a bit extreme. The phone has to be pretty much intact for Apple to replace it.

I only had the phone for a couple of days. I didn't have apple care. I just explained to them that there was no way possible for it to have been damaged by any fault of mine. I had my 5c (it was broken) with me when I called them and I tried scratching it with keys, bobby pins, finger nail clippers, and tweezers and couldn't even get a scuff on it. I rold them that I was trying to do it the entire time I was on the phone with them. I just kept pointing out that if my 5c was holding up through all of that then my 6 should be able to go in my pocket without being ruined. they did start in on the fact that I should have had a case or protector on it so I explained that I had ordered both but they hadn't come yet. They initially talked like I would have to pay so I asked if they could consult a supervisor. They did and said they would cover it. I think you will have much better luck calling rather than going in a store. I cannot stress enough that if you don't get it resolved with the first person you speak with, don't be afraid to continue calling until you find someone who will fix it...even if you call 10 times. And definitely mention that you had sought internet advice to see if others had experienced this problem and you have found that you are one of the many. I also found that I got much better service if I made small talk with them, it made the conversation much longer, but hey, whatever works Good luck and feel free to let me know if I can help in anyway. OOh, also... I ordered a spigen glass protector once I got the phone replaced. Great investment!!! They are $34 on Spigen's website, but $16 on Amazon and it is still sent by the spigen company, and you will get it next day with free shipping. The cover is glass and amazing! I HATE screen protectors but sincd it's also glass you don't even notice it. And after watching some videos and seeing it first hand, this thing is nearly indestructible.

I went though seven iPhone 5's all with chips and scuffs, till I got one without any damage out of the box, that handset was awful for wear and tear. I'm more than happy with my 5s the 6 seems like a disaster waiting to happen with curved glass at the edges, I feel much happier with metal around the edges protecting the screen and it being slightly recessed too on the 5s. Newer is not always better...

You're entitled to feel that way, but it's a shame you do. The 6 is pretty darn tootin amazing. I love every single thing about my 6. I don't have scratches, my Bluetooth worked perfectly, my phone won't bend (at least not in normal use), it's lightning fast with the new A8 chip, 64GB now costs what 32GB did and Apple Pay is fantastic and works at so many merchants already.

I'm just realistic with every iPhone I've ever owned. They go in a case the minute I get one and while I don't typically use a screen protector, because of this thread, I finally put one on my phone, even though my screen had no scratches. When my phone isn't being used, it's housed in a leather holster. I don't like having anything in my pockets. So, I've never kept my iPhone in my pockets. And a holster is convenient and clips to my belt. I'd rather be safe, than sorry with an expensive device.

I actually went to Apple yesterday and pretty much told them I've had the 4, 4S, & 5S with no screen protector and never had any scratches. I then told them I've only had my Plus for a little over 2 weeks

Of course, they said its a cosmetic issue, and blah blah.. He then whipped out his Plus that he had since release day, and said it has no scratches, he was pretty rude honestly. I showed him this page and the 60 pages it has and he didn't even look, I told him its obviously a manufacturing issue and that I did nothing for this scratch to happen, it just happened. And he said nothing just happened, it's a cosmetic issue and he can replace the screen for $129.

I was pretty frustrated and the Apple store was packed as usual, so I just left and bought a Zagg screen protector. I wouldve spent more money on the full body ghost armor one but I'm broke at the moment lol

As I was walking out, I looked at the Pluses on display and they ALL have scratches all over them. I'm very very disappointed with Apple. Although I already knew they were going to do nothing about it.

IIt is absolutely a pain to Use this website from your phone. Sorry they didn't help. I'm sure all of the in store reps slap protectors on them the second they get them for this exact reason. I would have but I was waiting for mine in the mail. You are definitely more understanding than me! There was no way I was going to let them get out of replacing my phone. I still say give calling tech support a try. The store reps were terrible even after they were told to replace my phone. the fact that the "show" phones had scratches just proves that all of our complaints are valid.

I Know you already said what you told them, but hkw many times did you call? And what did you emphasize on the most until they nudged?

I Can bring up the fact that the iPhone's on display were all scratched and how the employee was pretty rude to me.
