Lots of people have bought InvisibleShield glass protectors that don't cover. Some do. It's not the price... Most if not all will be smaller than the screen to avoid peeling. This is by design.

Lets see here two iphone 6 pluses over a grand in cases and screen protectors and in the end the same results scratches. Now here is how my phone is treated never in a pocket always carried in hand went from its sealed packaging to a case and screen protector and yet still scratches solution is if you want a flawless phone leave it in the box otherwise it will meet the same fate

And yet mine has no scratches? Can you explain your generalisation?

Congrats, you have a scratch free phone. Not everyone us Lucky enough to have that... It could be that you received one that wasn't defective... So far in this thread, we have over 200 (if memory serves) people with this issue... Within months of obtaining their phone, many within weeks... I understand phones do scratch... Not this quickly, not this easily, and not with that repeated random pattern in the same areas...

Stats are saying something large right now...

Using your logic, my iPhone has working BT, therefore, any iPhone without working BT is a result if user error.

People. my conclusion comes from my ownership of a dozen smartphones. None have scratched just from wear in a pocket. Yes, there is no screen protector on it. If it was required then Apple should state that. A phone should hold up in a pocket, period. I really don't understand what the point of arguing it when there are enough people on here that have had the same issue. My phones screep edges should not look like my phone took avise from being in a pocket.

FIrst of all how many people would go to a lame forum to discuss it, second of all how many people don't keep theirs in a case. Both are a very small sample size. A case raises above the lip of the curved screen so those scratches don't happen. I don't and shouldn't have to for pocket wear. If I knew that I would have kept my 5s which did not have one screen scratch from being in my pocket.

You make a poor assumption, that the people in this thread are the only ones with the issue... No sir... We don't know population statistics... We have a sample here. The sample is not representative of the entire population, but can give us insight into the population itself (this is what the study of statistics is all about, using a sample, or multiple, to predict population). So not 200 out of tens of millions, we actually don't know how many out of tens of millions. We do know this sample count, and it's pretty large. 250+ people in the sample, 200+ people with the issue.

No, you are speculating, guessing, striving for attention, etc. etc. but giving ridiculous statistics. 😁

My first phone got scratches on the edges while in a case with a lip (no screen protector, I don't like them after trying several, both glass and rubbery: InvisibleShield, BodyGuards, etc.). No clue what caused those scratches.

This isn't speculating, I just took the numbers straight off of this thread. Keep adding to the sample if you wish. We're getting an average of 1-2 people per week complaining about this issue. This number is slowing down though (which is a good thing from your point of view). Using the sample isn't speculating, it's simply saying that there may be a significant number of phones in this sample that may show larger issue at hand. I'm simply using the sample we have right now in this thread alone.

Now, what you were doing, assuming only 200 out of 10 million is speculating as you assumed that you had data for 10 million phones, which is a lie.

Let's talk statistics and random samples. If my experience is worth anything, the statistical sample of people with scratches is quite low. Here's what I can say with 100% conviction:

• There are at least 8 people on my floor with iPhone 6. 3 Are Cased. 2 Have Screen Protectors. None have any scratches
• There are two in my household. Both are cased. Neither have scratches
• I know at least 10 friends with iPhone 6. Some are cased. Some are not. Some carry them in their pockets. A couple ladies carry then in their purse. None are scratched.

That's 20 phones I'm aware of. 100% of them have no scratches all with varying degrees of how they are kept.

Thus my claim that statistically, there aren't as many scratched phones as this thread might lead one to believe.

Before anyone flames me. I don't doubt your phone has scratches and I realize it gives you little comfort that others don't. But one has to wonder, especially for those who use no cases/screen protectors and/or put them in their front or back pocket, what's in those pockets that is causing hairline scratches. It's not the glass. It has to be the coating on the glass.
