iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

No I do not run a third party repair business and no not trying to drum business either nor did anything go wrong my phone does not even go in my pocket and if your saying the case and screen protector were defective not sure that holds value either given I have spent more than twice as much on cases and screen protectors than I did on iPhone 6 retails for and yet they all end up the same way scratched it's called you live with it if you plan on using your phone if you want a flawless phone then leave it sealed in the box otherwise its a crap shoot

Really? You bought cases & screen protectors that cost $1300 USD + tax?

I have gone through 15 different cases and 8 screen protectors all ending with the same results every case and ever screen protector brought with a new scratch in a new location I finally gave up and decided after the applecare plus warranty is over so are my ties to Apple

You are an blaming the victims on the cause of this confusion. Apple created the confusion. To say any one on this forum is the source of confusion is further moving responsibility away from Apple.

I have never posted on one of these forums, but look through them religiously when I'm having a phone issue. I am posting now,because my six week old iPhone 6 has scratches all over it from just going in and out of my pocket. I have a silicone case on the phone and the rest of the phone looks brand new. I do not like the feel of screen protectors and haven't used them on all of my other iPhones, the only issue with a scratch that I ever had was my own doing. I actually put one on this phone, but they don't fit very well and it started coming off so I removed it. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Apple, and their stance is that it's not a known issue. Their advice was to use apple feedback. It's frustrating because it obviously is an issue. If you arent dealing with scratches, consider yourself lucky, just don't tell people it's their fault for not getting a case, that's silly and petty. The glass is more prone to scratches, that's the bottom line. I was informed by AppleCare that the glass is different than previous phones, and is supposed to be sturdier, funny, right? Does anyone know what glass they are using, I apologize if I missed it in the 70+ pages of posts. On another note, everyone I spoke to was polite. I did waste an hour at the Apple store. I was informed yesterday by my phone support that it was a known issue and she set up an appointment for me. Today at my appointment they said they haven't had anyone come in with scratches and couldn't help me. I am just hoping enough people leave feedback on the site so they have to recognize the problem.

Perhaps the problem is not enough people are not showing up at an Apple store with proof in hand. Put yourself in Apple's shoes, if no one or very few have taken the effort to go down to a store to show them the physical proof then it can't be verified as a genuine issue. If it's poor glass, or even a certain batch of glass, then their suppliers are going to want examples as well. Without any glass showing up in anyones hands then it will most likely be viewed as unverified internet chatter. I applaud you for at least taking your phone into a store. I'd encourage everyone to do so.

I Completely agree Apple can't jump to fix every single problem people are having. I think you are correct that it will have to be a lot of customers taking their phone into Apple. It seems that quite a few people in this thread have. I think the problem is most people will just try to deal with the scratches Instead of going through all the trouble of trying to get it fixed. It's just disheartening that it's obviously a problem with the phone and nothing can be done.

And these cost about $56 each, and they're scratching the screen? Why did you keep using them then? Did you report the problem to the case/screen protector manufacturer?

What brands were these? I need to avoid these like the plague.

Take your pick I used the two that Apple offered which failed horribly then I went to the three that Verizon had also failed then I went and got a few of the ones from zagg which also failed and my last one came from best buy but that to failed as for why I kept trying very simple my phone never went in a pocket it was always held but I didn't want to risk dropping the phone which prompted to get a case before taking it out of the sealed box

So you used 4 different brands, and they all scratched the screen of the iPhone? Unlikely. It is extremely doubtful that four different brands of iPhone cases/screen protectors all had flaws/defects that caused the device to be scratched.

I am well aware that it is highly unlikely that four different brand cases would be defective which begs the question is the phone really a case of poor quality because again phone has never been in a pocket it has always been in hand

Mine doesn´t have scratches, i really take care of it, but what i find is that the oil Crystal Oleophobic Screen is going off. It has been only 3 month and i remeber when i first got the phone i could use it and the screen never showed my fingers on it. after 3 month i can see my fingers on all the screen. Seems that the Oleophobic is wasting off. Is this normal?

I can clean it easly with a paper but i was expecting a longer effect from this Oleophobic screen effect.

I'd say its completely normal, why? Because since day 1, the iphones at Mac stores have been full of fingerprints.

Not that unlikely, ipads air 2 popping the same situation.
