How do I report an Apple Support Community user?

Wanted to know where or how can I report a user that not only never replies with valid or helpful answers in a discussion but also always replies with answers that make people get mad and loose the objective of the actual forum, please let me know if someone knows where or how can this be done.

Thanks!

Zack, Curiosity overwhelmed me.

It's whole conversation in a very long (and sometimes contentious) thread (530+ PAGES). The conversation hard to follow as the threading is long gone. One needs to look at the other's postings as well - doesn't seem to bother them much. I began by following the "in response to" links. jasoprano is new and may be taking things a bit too seriously?

I don't think its fair for new/old people using the forum to have to get answers (he does it every day multiple times) like the one the user I reported already is giving, again, he can give the same answer but write it in a totally different way that doesn't sound so rude, and that will save a lot of time and problems to the people that is trying to follow that thread, cause for example this morning I had 20 emails where 15 of them where because this user replied again in a manner that made a lot of the people reading the post mad, so they started coming and going with replies complaining about this users answers.

If that user was a new user well I can understand but I would never expect that from a user that has Level 8, generating that kind of noise/rudeness in a discussion.

These are pretty lightly moderated discussions...which most of us like. The hosts, Zack is great to work with, take a very light handed approach and don't remove posts/people unless they really cross the line. Simply being impertinent or impolite usually doesn't do it, up to a point.

While those who are repeatedly rude irritate all of us, most have just gotten to the point of ignoring them...or when possible respond to a user in as politely as we can. Let the contrast speak for itself.

Stick around, use ASC and just draw your own conclusions as to who you want to take advice from. Ignore those who push your buttons.

I replied to you, cause you suggested that because I was new I was taking things too seriously but I don't think that me being new has nothing to do with it, but well, and because the replies are also shown to everyone I though maybe Zach would read my reply and understand why I'm concerned about this.

Will reply to him directly if I see that time passes and he doesn't reply.

Also, have in mind that a lot of the messages that this user writes that are making people angry are also removed cause are reported by others but well, again, just saying that maybe sending a message to this user letting him know that he should not reply in those ways and that he is being watched by a Host would be great, cause again, since I'm following that discussion (cause I was affected by that issue and would like to know how apple deals with it) I'm tired of everyday having a lot of messages generated by this kind of replies this user gives.

Ralph has explained the realities here and given very sage advice

My experience is to be direct is best policy. Reply to Zack T.'s questions. He is our Host (Apple Employee), and likely to disregard anything not directed to him.

Regarding the emails... delete them like we all do.

My observation of your style seems passive-aggressively asking for trouble. Ignoring is the best policy... which I intend to do henceforth.

I am also on that same forum and there is a specific user who posts but does not contribute any help to those actually needing assistance on that forum. I have had posts removed because the content was flagged as "non-technical". I reported the same user to the community feedback but that user's non-technical posts do not get removed.

The moderators of the forums need to be consistent in how they moderate and the criteria they use to remove posts.

Zach T,

Would like to hear a reply from you regarding the forum that's been referred to here already. And also, to discuss why some posts are removed and others are not. I have sent email to the Apple Community Feedback but never once have received a reply. Consistency is key in terms of moderating a forum, and there should be no dependency on how long a user has been with the community, how many posts, or what level.

Would be great if this place was finally run as a community forum. This should be a place where users can come together and openly discuss issues they are having with Apple products, regardless of whether the solution is through Apple or elsewhere. Many people come here seeking advice after not getting any traction or attention from Apple.

Thank you all for weighing in. We try to be even handed in moderation as best we can. As you noted, as a Level 1, you do not have the ability to report posts yet. The advice to try to ignore a poster who isn't being helpful is a good one, but if you truly feel they are crossing a line, please post "Could a moderator please look at this post" and it will get our attention. I hope you feel more welcomed in ASC moving forward.

Zach T,

Thanks. Would appreciate if a moderator could look at the following forum and see if there are posts that should be removed. You can see many examples in pages 562, 563. Many other examples if you wish to go through that entire thread. Please advise as to why those posts are not being moderated. As others have mentioned, expectations should be higher from a non-level 1 poster.

Re: 2011 MacBook Pro and Discrete Graphics Card

I would also feel more welcomed in ASC if the forum feedback email would reply to inquiries. I know that nothing is perfect and hope to continue to see improvements here going forward.
