iPad 2 upgrade to iOS 8 causing performance issues?

I upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 8 and it's now no longer functioning quickly enough to be usable. For example, it takes several seconds for the screen to simply shift from portrait to landscape. The delay in typing alone makes it unusable. Anyone else having the same problem? I tried to reinstall iOS 7 but wasn't successful. Anyone figure out how to fix this?

II'd like to know, as well. Ever since I have done the update, my pages load slowly, if at all. I never had this trouble before the update. I'm really regretting ever installing it. @Apple, some help here?

I would venture to bet that Apple is not only aware that their bloated requirements set for ios8 completely cripples iPad2s, but that they are quite fine with this as it may induce some of their loyal customers to buy a newer model.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and Apple appears to have become too big for their britches.

Soon, given their current behavior and overall attitude towards their customers even the most loyal customers will begin to let their feet do their talking.

BTW,... I am sick and tired of seeing their "Designed in California" Jedi BS on their product packaging. These products are all manufactured in offshore Chinese sweat shops.

Hey Apple, you didn't become successful by screwing with your customers,... and you will not continue to be successful if you keep this up.

so if what you say is true, and Apple really cares about iPad2 owners that why wouldn't they allow them to roll back to an earlier, less hw demanding version of IOS?

An observation that I have made is that Microsoft, at the height of their abusive monopolistic heyday behaviors had absolutely nothing on Apple these days.
