Yes. I've had my phone since Friday. Started to see the posts, pulled it out, and low and behold it shows signs of bending and I don't wear tight jeans at all.

I've been leaving it in my front pocket and it floats around fine when standing, but if I sit down, there's some pressure on it, but certainly not what I would call excessive. Now I'm afraid to put it in my pocket even with the case that came today.

Not a fan of the new design. 😟 Apparently no one at Apple remembers the Razor.

It should have been a bit thicker and it could use more battery anyway. I would not call myself a heavy phone user, and it looks like I'll only get about 2 days out of it.

I should add that prior to this, I had a Motorola Flip phone (about six years) and a iPhone 4 (about 4 years), and had issues with neither. I'm not rough with my phones by any stretch.

This is a nightmare.... So many people spending £700 odd and loads of them are bending within days, just from keeping in a pocket. I'v also read that Apple will not allow warranty return or repair for this issue, even wit Applecare, as it is being classed as damage and not a fault. I understand that people can be a little heavy handed sometimes but when this many people are experiencing issues so quickly from normal day to day use then that is definitely an issue. What a major kick in the teeth for all those who waited month's for the new phone to be bummed so quickly with a bent phone. Mine is going in a belt case and nowhere near my pocket..... I accidentally sit on my HTC ONE M8 all the time, and its spot on... Those things are built like tanks.

You my friend, is unreasonable.

Collection of random pictures of variety of bent phones have no point to prove. Yes, anything will bend with enough force. The key here is the amount of force needed to do that. Pressure from tight clothing around human body is not an acceptable threshold. A device meant to be carried in clothing should withstand inevitable pressures in the intended environment. Therefore, this is a short sighted design flaw. Much less appreciated thinness resulted in undesired protruding camera and this.

After using an iPhone 4 for four years without any issue, I'm now stranded without hope for a mobile solution because my workflow used iOS and Mac. 😟

Exactly. I posted earlier and the one thing I should have said, which I did in another thread but maybe it didn't come across here, is that I'm carrying my iPhone 6 in exactly the same way I carried my iPhone 4 for four years without issue; in the front pocket of my pants.

I am *not* purposely bending the phone in any way with my thumbs or otherwise. If anything, I've been handling it quite gingerly.

But simply after four days of carrying the phone around in my pocket without a case, it shows signs of bending. Mind you it's not much, maybe a 1/32 of an inch or so, but there is no doubt the phone is bending and it's bending at the lower volume button, right where the case is the thinnest. When I had gotten my iPhone 4, I started carrying it in my front pocket because my old Motorola flip phone took a beating on my belt clip and I was worried about the screen.

As others have said, I don't think carrying a phone in a front pocket to be unreasonable. I don't wear tight jeans (standard fit), I'm not over weight, and the phone moves around in my pocket standing or sitting. When sitting, I can push on the phone with my finger and easily slide it around in my pocket. I actually believe that's where my problem is. If it is orientated along my leg, there is very little pressure on both ends, but if it slides sideways and goes across my thigh on a 45 degree angle, then it gets some pressure, but I still believe that is minimal and not unreasonable. Again, I still can easily slide the phone around in that position.

What perplexes me is how Apple could have missed something like this. Any type of real usability testing should have found this problem quickly enough. At the risk of repeating myself, I don't believe anything I'm doing with the phone or my situation could be considered "abnormal".

The coming days will tell, but I do believe they have got a real problem on their hands.

As for me, I'm still carrying it in my front pocket, but I now have a case around it and I'll be checking it carefully for signs of further bending. If it does, then I will be forced into a belt clip and will be extremely disappointed with the phone.

Has there been anything more from Apple about this issue? I have been recently pondering on upgrading to the new iPhone 6 from the 5 but now I will be waiting until more comes to light about this issue. This is very disappointing to me as I'm a new convert to all that is Apple. Add to this the latest update to iOS 8 debacle and Apple is slumping in its high end market esteem. Top dollar for top quality, but if the quality is now lacking why pay the premium price for Apple products?

This is certainly not an issue that would stop me from acquiring an iPhone 6. Many aluminum-based products, cell phones among them could bend. If you watch the Video of a person purposefully doing a "bend-test", they are having to work very hard as they bend the iPhone 6 Plus. Would this stop me from placing the iPhone daily in my back pocket ...Yes; particularly without a triple-loyer case. These iPhones are great and it would be unfortunate to decide not to own one due to this reported issue.
