iPhone 6 bluetooth issues

I upgraded from iPhone 5 to iPhone 6 and i've been having issues with bluetooth connectivity, when connecting my LG Tone Plus (LG HBS-730) headset i can't answer calls from the headset button and also i get an out of range message sometimes and this wasn't happening with my iphone 5 on IOS 8, i tried the headset in my wife's iphone 5 IOS 8 and it works fine. With my Motorola Buds i'm having the same issue with answering calls from the headset button. Any input on this?

I faced the same issue with my 2014 Honda Accord on the very first day (09/19). As per the apple support, the backup restoration from my iPhone 5s to iPhone 6 messed up my settings. So, they advised me to reset settings to factory default. After doing so, I was able to pair my phone with Plantronices Edge and to Honda Link. But today again I faced the similar issue, and I thought the upgrade to iOS 8.0.2 would work. I upgraded my phone and the bluetooth started working again for sometime and again it stopped working. I don't see bluetooth issues being addressed in iOS 8.0.2.

Also I do see some issues with FaceTime calls. The incoming FaceTime calls are being notified in my mac and iPhone as the devices are synched with the same apple Id, and when I receive the call on my mac the iPhone FaceTime call doesn't get disconnected properly and the phone gets hung.

Apple, request you folks to address these. Thanks.

Thanks I will try and turn my location services off. I am able to get it paired but then when I go to make a phone call it cuts out and transfers to the phone. I reset everything, got it to work, then once the phone is powered off the trouble persists. I have had 2 customer service reps tell me they have never heard of the problem which I find a little bit hard to believe because if you google it it is quite obvious I am not the only one having this problem. I would just like to know that apple is aware of the problem and they are trying to address it.

So far the only thing that has worked, for me, is turning of Location services completely. I am now going to see if I can narrow it down to a specific applications' location service affecting my connection. 2014 Jeep Cherokee

1. Restored phone - Reset network settings/delete from SUV/delete from phone - re-pair device - calls not working

2. Installed phone as New/delete from SUV/delete from phone - re-pair device - calls not working

3. Reset network settings/delete from SUV/delete from phone - re-pair device - calls not working

4. Reset All settings/delete from SUV/delete from phone/reboot device - re-pair device - calls not working

5. Turn off ALL Location Services - Calls now working- audio works - messaging works 😀

I am having the same problem in my Volkswagen. On my iphone 5 i never had an issue with my phone connectivity to my car even when I updated it to ios8. Since I got my iphone 6 I have had nothing but problems. I even had the phone replaced (because i bent it. wish I was kidding but it happened to me and it was in my pocket with out a case). Anyway, I got it replaced wondering if it was a hardware issue and it wasn't. It still doesn't work and the update to 8.0.2 didn't help either. I can stream music to my car and other devices but I can't do use my hands free phone anymore. Very very annoying. Apple please fix this issue. I hope its on your radar enough to fix this with a software update. Very unhappy with this issue.

I too am having trouble with my new iPhone 6 connecting to my car's bluetooth system. It will pair, then it is stuck in my last phone call. Cannot use it for phone calls or music. I just upgraded from a 5S running iOS 8 and didn't have any issues with that phone. According to Kia, this is an Apple issue...I have re-booted both systems and still nothing.

I have been a lucky boy. 2014 Jeep Compass with uConnect. Bluetooth worked with my new iPhone 6+ using iOS8. Was fearful of upgrading to 8.0.2 but went forth 'blindly' into the night.

Just took the car out for a spin and made two calls without any issue. One of the calls lasted for 2 1/2 minutes. So I feel pretty good that the gremlins are not going to bite me in the butt.

I don't have any other devices capable of hand-off\continuity, Siri is turned on, Wi-fi is turned on. I had deleted the other two phones and their phonebooks that I had paired with the car so it was kind of a virgin pairing for the uConnect. Oh yeah - location services is also turned on.

This issue isn't just with BT headsets. I bought one unlocked from the Apple Store and returned it the next day b/c it wouldn't stay paired to my car's audio. If I turned off the phone I would have to connect manually. If I turned off my car's stereo I would have to manually connect my car's audio to the phone. It seems there is a discovery issue in the phone's firmware for IP6 BT. My 5S is perfect.

I had a separate issue that made me finally realize that the time isn't now to get this phone. Heck, I may even wait until the next iteration. Or, I read that they have a definite fix for the issues I was experiencing.
