iOS 8.0.1 no service and no touch id

Looks like iOS 8.0.1 broke my ability to make a phone call and touch ID on my iPhone 6+. Hope there is an iOS 8.0.2 in the next few hours.

Just spent time with Apple Support on this. Had to do a complete restore through iTunes to get working again. Support recommended that following the restore, I treat it as a new iPhone and getting it running before restoring from backup.

Just clicking on the restore button didn't work. I had to put the phone into recovery mode and restore from there. To get into recovery mode, disconnect the USB cable and power the phone off. Then hold down the Home button while you plug the USB cable back into the phone. Continue holding the Home button until iTunes see the phone in Recovery mode. Once in recovery mode the restore worked. This does wipe everything from your phone so make sure you have a back up before starting.

While this is a real pain to go through, I have cell service and TouchID back and working.
