iOS 8.0.1 no service and no touch id

Looks like iOS 8.0.1 broke my ability to make a phone call and touch ID on my iPhone 6+. Hope there is an iOS 8.0.2 in the next few hours.

Apple support chat is telling me I will need to return the phone to 8.0.0 with iTunes.

According to apple chat support he is the steps needed to get phone to work.

Open up iTunes first then connect iPhone 6 to it.

Back up phone and apps

After back up, click restore.

will cause error about not eligible for the requested build and to download/install 8.0

this will download 8.0 and restore phone to factory.

set up as new phone, test features/services

if ok

restore from backup and retest.

Try this solution:

get near a Mac or PC with iTunes installed and Lightning cable attached.

- Backup the phone to iCloud or iTunes.

- power off the phone

- lauch iTunes

- press the Home button and connect the lightning cable.

- iTunes will notice a device in recovery mode and offers to restore it to the most recent version. That wlll be 8.0

- restore your backup from iCloud or iTunes.
