iPhone 6 Plus pre-order delivery estimates

I'm hoping someone with a crystal ball might be able to answer this question. I pre-ordered the iPhone 6 plus(Space Gray 64g) at 5:00am, on September 12th, from Apple.com. I'm still showing an estimated delivery time of October 13-20th. I've previously always pre-ordered, by phone, through At&T and had my phone delivered on launch day. Has anyone ever had their estimated delivery date "moved up? Or has anyone had it moved up on this iPhone launch? Is anyone getting tired of Apple never having enough product or underestimating the potential demand? Maybe it's just me but it's getting old. Any genuine thoughts? I'm new at this waiting 4 weeks for delivery thing. Many thanks from CA.

Same for me ordered on the 12th at 4:40am had some issues with the website. same "estimated" delivery date October 13-20th. Had same issue with the iPhone 5s last year. Got upset when my brother his ordered iPhone 5s 2 days after from T-mobile and got his a week faster. I called and complained and they gave me free 3 day shipping. No luck getting faster shipping on the plus. I'm kinda worried about hearing that they bend fairly easy. Perhaps lots of people will cancel their order and we can get ours faster lol.

Thank you all for your kind responses. My order still shows Processing. What I'm now hearing, and bothered by, is that a few of my co-workers who pre-ordered through AT&T after I did, started out with shipping dates of the last week of October and into November. Their delivery times have been pushed up to the 1st and 2nd week of October, for the 6+. I just don't understand how they're now getting their phones sooner than those of us who ordered from Apple.

@Chris2007a, I'm a bit concerned about the phone bending as well although I guess we shouldn't put them in our pockets. Just like on the iPhone 4 when Steve Jobs said those of whose connection got cut off we're holding the phone wrong'

I pre-ordered my 6+ (64GB, space gray) through Verizon at 3:00am on the 12th and originally it said delivery by 10/7. A few days ago it updated to 10/3. Then yesterday without warning they charged my card and it shipped today with delivery on Monday. Can't speak for how Apple's site works, but I am happy mine will arrive sooner. I can also guarantee you those getting replacement phones will get put in the back of the line. Apple is already being too generous to replace them, I can't see them pushing them ahead of other paying customers.

I'm glad to hear your phone is on its way! As I mentioned before, co-workers who ordered through their carrier are suddenly getting their shipping dates moved up while nothing is happening with those of us who ordered through Apple. I also hope you're correct in those getting replacement phones being moved to the back of the line. That's how it should work but I fear Apple will want to deal with those customers, ASAP, because they've already suffered so many embarrassments with this phone release as well as with iOS 8. Please let us know how you enjoy your new phone when you get it!!!!!

Hello everyone! I just checked Apple.com and my order status has changed from Processing to Preparing to Ship. I can no longer make changes to my order. Has anyone else recently checked their status? Mine was a pre-order on Sept 12th and shipping was estimated Oct 13-20. This is for the iPhone 6+ 64g Space Grey. I hope some of your statuses have changed as well. Now I just have to wait for a shipping confirmation and date. Please let us all know if your phone has been delivered or your status has changed!

My wonder of a son ordered a 6 Plus for each of the three of us within an hour of the opening bell. My lovely wife had her phone delivered on the day they were available, and my son a couple days after. I'm hung up to dry on the "Preparing to Ship" line, which event is scheduled for no later than the end of November. There is nothing to be done.

i promise that from where the sun now stands this AT&T contract will be my last, and I will not let this happen again. There are other products and carriers out there, and all of them better than nothing, which is what I have seen from Apple so far. Every day I think I might've waltzed into a store and out with an excellent instrument and no waiting, and that's what I will do next year.

Sorry, Apple, its come to this after all these years; it isn't me, it's you.

I hear you and understand your frustration. Every launch since the iPhone 4 I called AT&T and pre-ordered when the phone lines opened. Each time my phone was delivered on launch date. So in that sense I have no complaints with AT&T (but I do in 100 different areas). The problem, I believe, is in the hoopla Apple creates with these launches. They claim to have sold out of phones, and people are told they must wait weeks/months but then suddenly everyone starts getting them. My iPhone 6+ pre-order had been stuck on Processing. Last night it suddenly went to Preparing to Ship. Right now it's on a plane from China due to be delivered this Thursday. But wait... I thought Apple was out of phones? They have a process only they know and I don't believe it any longer serves a purpose to pre-order. Another example: the day of the launch of this phone, my father went down to our local Apple store at approximately 2:15pm. He was assured they had the iPhone 6 he wanted so he waited in line. Myself, going to be off work at 3pm, figured I'd go and meet him and try to get a 6+. Well it was about 2:40pm when he called to tell me they'd just announced the 6+ had sold out. Point being there were plenty of phones available even after the 400+'people in line had already gotten theirs. It's a game, Apple needs to change
