No Service on Ipad 2 GSM 3G after IOS 8 Upgrade?

I upgraded from ios7 to 8.0.2 and now have no cellular service. Reboot brought it back for a while but it has gone again.

Same for me.

The same is for me, the same iPad 2, the same iOS 8.0.0-8.,0.2, the same problem...

WIth 8.0.2. installed and the IPAD 2 rebooted the "no service" problem seemed to be solved, until this morning "no service" was back. It seems that the solution of the problem is not stable yet. After "power off" and "power on" I was connected again. Thus it seems to work, but in a way that is far from my expectations.

ggo to setting then reset and click on reset network setting

go to setting and reset , click at reset network settings then will do. please try and see

iOS 8.0.2 on ipad 2, reset network connection, turned off both icloud drive and facetime settings, and this seems to be happening more frequently now. Anyo ther suggestions?

I tried this and it worked for me - at least I still had settings this morning so it lasted over night

Ipad 2. Has the 8.0.2 update

I went to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network I hit reset settings - I hit it about 3 times

Then I went to Settings > Carrier Turned off automatic and manully chose Telus.

I may have turned off Automatic prior to hitting reset - I cant remember as I have tried so many things.

this morning I checked and Telus was still showing in the top corner. Fingers crossed

8.0.2 update seemed to fix this problem ... but, no ... it has already returned again. Apple needs to get this fixed ASAP.

SAme issue for me, the upgrade did not cure the problem. Let's hop Apple fix this quicker than the VPN issue.

tried other suggestions but they did not work,,tried this reset this morning and so far so good...no loss of 3g service,,had to re-enter my wireless network wifi password,but seems to have solved problem....

go to "settings - general - reset - reset wireless networks"

Tried. All of these solutions are temporary fixes. iOS 8 is, as far as I'm concerned a wreck. It breaks 3G, it breaks Newsstand, and it runs like a dog.

I'm worried if Apple is aware about this problem. I hope they fix soon as possible.

Same here with Drei Austria. Update to iOS8.0.2 did not fix the issue. Need to restart iPad to get cellular to work again. No good. 😠😠
