[Unsolved] iOS 8 Exchange Emails read on other devices do not clear out from Lock Screen

Creating this thread again since the last one got marked 'solved' automatically although no solution was found.

My Google Apps (Exchange) emails on the lock screen are not disappearing when I read them on other devices (eg. my iPad or Mac). On iOS 7 this used to work very consistently for me, that is, when I received an email on 3 devices and read it on one of them, the email would instantly be marked as read on the other devices and the notifications would be cleared out.

Furthermore, if I slide the notification of a read email on the lock screen and delete it, it has no effect on the server. So this is certainly a bug.

PS: Also tried Push email notifications with iCloud mail, same problem. For iCloud, even the icon badge count is not updated.

The Genius Bar person's only suggestion, assuming the reset all settings didn't work, was to do a totally clean wipe of the iPhone and iPad and to reinstall each app one at a time from the app store (not from backup) until I hit an app or apps that is / are causing a problem. Don't have the time, or inclination, to do that or to be Apple's beta tester.

So I am thinking this bug has something to do with the new Interactive Notifications on iOS 8. The Gmail app notifications appear to clear very efficiently. Mail on the other hand doesn't. I tried a new app today called myMail, which too has Interactive Notifications and it exhibited the same problems. I hope Apple acknowledges this as a bug (with priority) and not declare it as expected behavior. 😐

I can't tell you why you're not having the problem. All I can say is that I and at least several others are. And, if this is NOT an iOS 8 issue, then why am I, and the others, first experiencing the issue on iOS 8? I did not have the issue on iOS 6 or 7, and nothing about my company's equipment or settings changed. i went to two Genius Bar appointments and both Apple reps told me that they believed it was a bug in iOS 8 that they hoped would be fixed when 8.1 rolled out. Neither sought to point the finger at my company. So, I feel quite confident this is an iOS 8 issue.

I can only reiterate this 1-to-1. Everything runs perfectly on my girlfriend's iPhone 5s running iOS 7.1.2, just as expected. Same accounts, same setup stops working on iOS 8.1, so it definitely doesn't have anything to do with the server side. And if it indeed does, then it's because iOS 8 isn't relaying / updating the correct or required information to the server.

The same thing has been happening to me and iOS8 seems to be a bit buggy all the way around. The fact that the emails no longer automatically clear make it difficult to stay on top of things, especially if I see the item on my lock screen and assume that it is a new email, not one that I have already read from another device.

I'm using an iPhone 5s, iPad 3, and original iPad Mini all running iOS 8.1. Like many others, Exchange mail is not being pushed to my iPhone or iPad as it should. I open my mail app and messages flood in. Push Mail, however, seems to be working just fine on the iPad mini. The mini doesn't get much use but I have noticed it ding and notify for new exchange mail when the other devices do nothing. I tried turning off push mail and changing it to a 15min fetch schedule in the mail settings but that doesn't seem to be for me working either.

My organization just moved to Exchange 2013.
