In iOS8 Siri always says "just to confirm" when the call command is used. How can I put a stop to that question?
Called Apple, and this in fact is NOT A BUG - but an enhanced Siri "feature" in iOS 8.X. The weird part about it is... it does not happen on all my contacts - only seems to happen on most of them? Anyone else experiencing this weird behavior?
So that begs the question - if it is an enhanced Siri feature - then why doesn't she confirm on every contact not just some of them? And why does the editing the number work for a day only?
that does work... Thank goodness, it was getting REALLY annoying!
I am sorry; No that does not work.
I often call a friend and always get the stupid "just to confirm" promoting. so much about making Siri human-like, can't she learn that I repeatedly call that SAME friend?
so I ADDED him to favorites (can Apple confirm the algorithm that 'favorites wont need be be reconfirmed by Siri...' - PLEASE)... and I still get annoying re-prompting by Siri..
I think I have found a permanent solution.
Give your most-called contacts a nickname or add a relationship. I can say "Call Jay C****" and she says "Just to confirm..." but when I say "Call my husband" she just calls him.
I tried this with my sister, my mother, and my friend and every time she just called the person without asking to confirm.
Putting them in Favorites did not work for me.

My issue had to do with multiple accounts in contacts. All contacts imported from gmail gave me "Just to confirm" .. .. I made sure the gmail contact info was the same as iCloud and deselected my gmail account in the "Mail, Contacts, Calendar" settings.
Well, all my contacts are Gmail. I don't use iCloud for contacts. I only get the prompt if I ask Siri to call someone I've never called using Siri. Once I've used Siri to call the number and confirmed, future calls will go through without needing to confirm.
I added a phonetic spelling to first name of the contacts I was having problems with to remove the "Just to confirm" prompt.
I was getting the prompt when I called my relatives with the same last name.
