iOS 8.0.2 Settings App Notification badge won't go away!

Same thing happens when going to purchased tab as the updates tab.... there is an open button there.

Again... updating over the air is fine... updating from itunes is the problem.

Not sure if you ever resolved this issue but it happened to me as well. I uninstalled the most recent app that was "updated" and reinstalled. It worked, no more badge. It must be an app glitch of some sort. Anyway, I hope this helps!

I Just hit "Learn more", then after the page opened I closed down facetime. RED 1 went away. Hope this helps.

mine does the same and turned out it was and update to carrier settings...

i didnt think much of it so I ignored it, i soon realised it and turns out i might just have to wait for the next one.

Thanks, the latest updated app I had was Linkedin. I deleted that app and then reinstalled and the persistent little red dot went away.

I had the same issue. I resolved it by going to settings>notifications, turning off notifications for Twitter, opening twitter to get rid of the badge, then re-enabling notifications and again opening Twitter just for good measure. I hope this works for you or that you've already resolved it!

[POSSIBLE FIX]

simply ask SIRI "read messages"

she finds the messages that you can't physically see since the message never really appeared but is still there.

Go To Settings > iTunes & App Store > updates Turn off and On
